So what do you guys think of Marcus Jordan? He's been fun to watch, putting up some nice numbers and UCF is undefeated so far.

I noticed UCF was undefeated but forgot the had the MJ's better & younger son. Looks like he's putting up some solid numbers. Let's see how he goes in conference season though. Good for him to go to a non-power conference & get to play & start straight away (Y)

I have a serious big question about ohio state men's hoops. Now ohio state has fantastic matchups against, Duke, Kansas and South Carolina. But, my question is, since 1990 and since Ohio State and Duke have been in the top 25, has Ohio State ever played Duke in college basketball? I have never before ever heard of them playing each other, and i can't find it any where if they ever have, but this year they play each other, this will be the first time i've ever heard these two teams playing each other in basketball.

Anthony Davis is projected to go #1 by many sports writers and draft gurus. I don't really buy the Anthony Davis hype. Don't get me wrong, he's an elite defensive player, but he's very limited offensively. Almost all of his points are layups/dunks. How is he any different than D'andre Jordan?

Anthony Davis is putting up freshman numbers that are comparable to some of the all-time greats, for one thing...

Very limited offensively? He's scoring 14ppg on a stacked Kentucky team at a ridiculous 64% clip... 67% if you're just counting 2pt baskets. Not to mention only 0.9 TO's

Clearly the #1 prospect in my eyes. He will be a stud in the NBA.

I bet the NBA Hornets "win" the lottery and take him.

Dem Gasols.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the ... ncaab.html
Adria Gasol, the 18-year-old brother of NBA big men Pau and Marc Gasol, has enrolled as a student at UCLA and intends to walk-on to the team next season.

Although the youngest Gasol is 6-foot-10 and has impressive bloodlines, it would be a surprise if he is able to make much impact at UCLA in the near future.

He wasn't interested in following in his brothers' footsteps in basketball growing up and played sparingly as a freshman and sophomore at Lausanne High School in Memphis before returning to Spain the past two years. He worked out with the Spanish U-18 team last summer but did not show enough to make the roster, suggesting, he's well behind his brothers at the same stage.

"(Adria) looks like a typical late-developing kid — long, skinny, fast but lost on the court," said Rafal Juc, a Poland-based scout for EuroHopes.com.

"Adria was on radar of a couple of Spanish agents and scouts, but they don't see him in the future on as high a level as his brothers play. His basketball IQ is limited, he shows some serious lack of basketball fundamentals and struggles due to many injuries. But in my opinion it's smart move by UCLA (to add him). It doesn't cost anything to get the kid a place (on the) basketball team when he pays for his academics, especially when his last name is Gasol."

Even if Adria never becomes the caliber of player that his brothers are, his famous last name alone should make him a favorite among UCLA fans and a source of intrigue in the final minutes of blowouts.

If he focuses on basketball and develops into a surprise contributor at some point in the next few years, then that's a coup for UCLA. And if he does nothing more than persuade Pau or Marc to occasionally work out against the UCLA frontcourt during the offseason, then that's still a greater contribution than the average walk-on makes.

It doesn't sound like he's got a bright future as far as making the pros is concerned but hey, good luck to him. If nothing else, he's earning an education and paying for it, so kudos to him for that.

Was Marc supposed to have an impact on the NBA before he was drafted? He was picked in the late 40s iirc. He'll make it to the NBA simply because of his brothers.

Congratulations to legendary and Hall of Fame coach Jim Calhoun, who's calling it quits after 26 years and 3 national titles. He started with nothing and turned UConn into a basketball powerhouse, winning championships in 1999, 2004 & 2011. He sent 27 players to the NBA, and will be succeeded by former pro Kevin Ollie.

Anyone see that Kevin Ware injury in the Louisville game can't find any videos to post but I'm not sure anyone should want to see it anyway. It's by far the worst injury I've ever seen in basketball. Wow!
