So I did everything properly, the extracting files one after another in order as according to your instructions. And this is what I get when I load the 97-98 rosters....

bodyless players just floating uniforms, and a complete black out of everything else

I'm sure it's not my PC, its a $2000 gaming computer so it's probably one of the other mods conflicting with this one. I've installed other things like cyber faces and one of those global shadow mods from here, so it might be that.

I will try to add your mod on a clean install of NBA 2K, I can't wait to play with my home team the Vancouver Grizzlies

Hey man, I highly recommend you read this: viewtopic.php?f=143&t=84240

Leftos made this post a while back, and it explains how to use a mod without overwriting any files. This will avoid a lot of your problems.

Thanks for this bro, but mod only replaces or overwrites some of the logo files for unused logos and the logos in (logos______.iff) file. so in all the mod doesn't overwrite anything major. but if members choose to use this tool great, but they do not have to. if you had anything major overwritten it is not from this mod thanks again bro.

The only other thing I'd like to ask is the two Canadian courts are wrong, the Raptors and the Grizzlies court are both wrong colors, is there any way to fix this please ?
what is your exact file name for the Vancouver Grizzlies court ? I can just replace it with the one from 2K12 I have pictured below, it works just fine on my main roster but when I load your roster up it boots up your court, so I want to replace yours need to know the exact number

these are your two Raptors and Grizzlies courts

Image
Image

and this is how they actually looked in 1997-1998, these two courts are from some NBA 2K12 mod, I can take these two courts to replace yours but I need to know the exact filenames for your Grizz Raptor courts please

Image
Image

I think you maybe saw the original Grizzlies court from 1995 season and that's where you may have gotten the idea to fill in the midrange area, this is how it looked in 1995, you see how light the green is though, the green you used up there on the courts is more like a dark tree forest green, but the colors on the jerseys are perfect

^ nevermind about that issue, I managed to use ModTool to find out exactly which court it was by opening the files 1 by 1, everything is ok right now.

I gotta ask you though, how come you put old school short shorts that stop mid-thigh on all the players like it's the 1980's ? is there any way to edit or fix this ??
The early 1990's is when the Michigan Fab 5 made knee high shorts popular, and by the mid 90's everyone except John Stockton was wearing shorts almost down to the knees.... and the younger guys wore them even shorter all the way down and even past the kneecap at times, here's the rookie class from 1996

I don't want to come off to bad here dude, but I did my roster the way I like it to be and base on the retro teams that 2K series has included them to be. check them out and see how they represented the 1997-98 Season teams. but try your own roster and make it anyway you like and how you want it. and you have placed pictures of the 1996 rookie make that season for yourself. my roster Mod, you can not do much with on editing will cause problems, not much can be done without REDitor not much at all. One Big Question? are you relation to broken? pesky bro just pesky! (N)

first off I appreciate you and all the guys on here work and I respect it, I'm just trying to get some clarification because this is labeled as a simulation roster of the 97 season... it doesn't say anything about "Retromans customised custom rosters based on the 97 season"
if that was the case I wouldn't have said a thing, but since it's promoted as THE 97 season I expected original courts and uniforms as I'm sure everyone would assume the same.

I'm not trying to be a pest, I'm just trying to get an understanding of what this really is, but if you wanna get butthurt because I caught a few inconsistencies and you want to take that as if I'm putting your work down then I can't help you with that, that's your problem.
Because like I said up top, I absolutely respect your and any other legit modder's contributions to this forum and the modding game.

OK I will clear this up for you Adon and I will be polite and make a great point for you, I would like to point out
that I noticed that you have been a member here since 2004 so I was pretty surprised to see your comments which
were pretty rude considering there are not many of us retro roster creators in this forum so respect should always come
first especially from a long time member of this forum, OK now to what I wanted to point out, you cannot edit the length of shorts
at this time so you have to ask your self when creating a mod like this would these be more appropriate
ImageImage
Image
or would these be more appropriate
Image
If you picked the first three pictures then that is why... even if you look at the rookies most of there shorts are still above
knee so this would make a lot more sense...hope this helped, Retro you are the man you saved me a lot of work this year because I am
doing 95-96 and I hope to use your roster as a base or even get some help from you (Y) (Y)

What rude comments of mine ? nowhere was I rude, I didnt come on here to bash him, I'm just asking WHY are some of the courts WRONG, as BOTH the Grizzlies and Raptors courts are both wrong, and why are the shorts WRONG size. If you look at all my posts I'm asking if it's fixable, what can be done, etc..... I'm not bashing him or being rude or anything...
I know now Shorts length can't be edited now so ok....
ALWAYSBLACK is asking for Phil Jackson to be changed and I can't ask why 2 courts are the totally wrong colors ? I mean really ?

And there's got to be some sort of mis understanding, you guys are insinuating I want shorts below the knee ?? did you not read my posts? I clearly said in my post that players were wearing shorts in the 90's that came very close to the knee..I DIDNT SAY BELOW THE KNEE.... The NBA has a rule where the shorts have to be 1 inch above the knee cap and no lower than that.
This is because sometime in the late 1990's a lot of these younger guys were wearing shorts that looked like this

HO adon, this is the way the roster mod is and if your not happy with it don't use it! or like I said before do your own the way you want it and then you'll should be happy otherwise end it. and for your knowledge the 2 courts will be fixed to the correct ones in my next update, and don't ask when Please! It will come when it's ready. but the shorts are staying the way they ARE. So Please back off and move on to something else, it stops here! O.K. that it DONE. THX!

^ OK Retro, thats ALL I wanted to tell you, that's it.... all this hassle could have been avoided if you just answered my question about the courts the first time I asked instead of bitching back at me for no reason, I was just letting you know the courts were wrong, that's all, I wasn't bashing you. I mean you got guys bugging you about sideline coaches and player ratings and other minimal stuff like that, but proper courts are much more important than that.

alwaysblack I never once anywhere on this thread asked for the shorts to be super baggy or below the knee, what don't you understand about that ? I just asked why are they not realistic like they were in the 98 season, All I said was the shorts in the late 90's did NOT STOP MIDWAY DOWN YOUR THIGH, and some of the uniforms in this mod are good the shorts are the right size, but some of them they are way too short. Here is some pictures I just took right now to show you what I'm talking about

This is Allen Iverson as a rookie in this picture, and the one below is his shorts in the game

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Here is Tracy McGrady as a rookie

Image
Image

Here is Shareef as a rookie

But here is an example where the shorts are the right length, like in this Alternate uniform the shorts are normal sized and this is perfect right here
