PC downloadable version

I have a couple of questions for those who have the game on Pc. Im thinking of buying the online version of the game mostly to play online on mycarrer mode. I've never play it online, so excuse me if any of the questions is odd.

Is it possible to play online with that version?
How is the online performance of the game on the PC? I know that previus years it just didn't work
Is it possible to play with your mycarreer player any blacktop (1on1 or 3on3) to gaing more skill points?
Is there anything else I should know before purchasing it regarding mycarrer mode online?

both the disc and digital versions of the game can play online
online is the best it has ever been on 2K PC, full graphics, but we still cannot play friends (although you can do a 2 person online association)
The only three online gamemodes are quick game, team up (NBA Teams/Players), and Online Association.
It is important to know that the PC version does not have the VC currency that the console versions have. MyCareer is separated from the other modes, so the only way to make money is by playing the mode itself. There are also no options for clothes, suits, or obviously online modes for your player either.
