It looks like it just a batch to switch out BallA.iff for ballB.iff so sort of works but not really since you would have to quit

then click batch then play

To anybody who wants to switch between basketballs, use JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler. viewtopic.php?f=143&t=84240
Create a folder for each ball using a descriptive name such as 'ball Molten GG7' or 'ball Chicago Bulls'. Select prior to loading the game. I wrote the original batch file. It switches the balls prior to loading also. It can be modified if you know a little about batch files and DOS. The JSGME is better because it is not limited to just a few balls. The batch file needs to be edited for every ball you add. JSGME is basically a batch file that moves files in a similar fashion but with a graphic interface. So you can have dozens of basketballs. I also use it for mods. Last year I used to switch between the NCAA, FIBA, Euroleague and others. It will keep you from overwriting any original files and having conflicts between mods.
