(1-5) CLEVELAND CAVALIERS AT (2-4) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER

    -------------------

Dion Waiters, Kyrie Irving fuels Cavs win over Thunder

    Image

November 11, 2012 -- Surprisingly, the Oklahoma City Thunder is struggling this season, and it showed how they
are poorly playing this year with an ugly loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cavaliers snapped a 5-game losing streak to beat the Thunder at their home, 110-98.

After scoring a career-high 31 points against the Warriors last Nov. 7, rookie Dion Waiters led the way with his 27 points,
which 19 of it came from the second half alone, for the Cavs who had a dominating 70 points in the paint. Kyrie Irving scored
23 points, dished out 11 assists and recorded three steals. Tristan Thompson netted 16 while Anderson Varejao added 14 points
and grabbed 10 boards despite playing hurt.

The Cavaliers looked a very different team at that night, as so as the Thunder who is missing Russell Westbrook to an injury.
Cavs was off to a quick start in the first quarter where they nearly had a double-digit lead, Jeremy Lamb provided a spark off
the bench to keep the game close, he made all of his first three shots en route to a career-high 16 points and four steals.
By then, at the second quarter of the game, the Cavs used a 20-6 run to completely built a comfortable lead over the Thunder
    and never looked back.

Kevin Durant topped with 32 points, but only had three rebounds, while Kevin Martin might have his worst game of his career,
scoring 12 points on a must-forget 5-of-28 shooting, 0 for 20 coming beyond the arc. Eric Maynor, who took the starting job,
recorded a career-high 12 assists and scored nine points.

Cavaliers will now face the Brooklyn Nets next game, concluding their scheduled six-game road trip.

    AROUND THE LEAGUE

    -------------------

    Upset of the Night

    Image

Two struggling teams faced each other, and the least favored one came out at the top.

The Cleveland Cavaliers was able to beat the defending Western Conference champions Oklahoma City Thunder
who's missing their All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook due to an injury. Syracuse product Dion Waiters starred
by his 27 points, converting 19 of it on the last two quarter. Backcourt partner, Kyrie Irving put up a double-double,
23 points and 11 dimes. Kevin Durant was the lone light for the Thunder, scoring 32 points in the losing effort.

    Shooting Studs

    Louis Williams, Hawks - 29 points, 11-19 FG, 3-9 3PT, 4-6 FT | 112-101 win vs. Clippers

    Image
    Deron Williams, Nets - 30 points, 8-15 FG, 3-7 3PT, 11-11 FT | 119-102 win vs. Magic

    Shooting Duds

    Kevin Martin, Thunder - 12 points, 5-28 FG, 0-20 3PT | 110-98 loss vs Cavaliers

    Image
    Aaron Brooks, Kings - 10 points, 4-17 FG, 2-10 3PT | 131-95 loss vs Lakers

    Stat Sheet Stuffer

    Image

Alonzo Gee was all over the court during the Cavaliers' 110-98 win over the Thunder.

The forward scored just eight points but grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists, recorded two steals
    and blocked one shot.

    Rookie Watch

    Image

Dion Waiters from Syracuse is quickly endearing himself to the rookie race as a top contender for the award.

The 6-4 shooting guard continued to impress, scoring 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the floor in a 110-98 win
over the Thunder, stopping a five-game losing streak.

    Sixth Man of the Night

    Image

Jeremy Lamb made the most of his minutes against the Cavaliers.

Despite the lose, he had his best game so far as a pro, scoring 16 points on 7-of-12 from the field. Lamb also displayed
his defensive side, recording four steals. He's benefiting from Russell Westbrook's absence and assigned him as their 6th man
as Kevin Martin was promoted to starting shooting guard.

Glad to see you finally pick up a win, against OKC no less. I'll keep tabs on this. Looks pretty good.

Dion looks like CP3 in the photo above. I actually thought it was him with the number 3 on too. Nice 12-point win over the beard-less Thunder too.

Well, they are missing Westbrook, but they sure are struggling right now. And you know, you're in mess with Martin shooting 20 threes, and not making any.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Just got a job, and it's killing my time. I love to resume this, but I've encountered a strange bug, where it can't let me go through after the next game (vs Hawks), whether I'll play or sim it. I'll try to find a solution for this or start a new one.

CAVALIERS TRADE LEUER TO GRIZZLIES FOR SPEIGHTS, ELLINGTON, SELBY

    Image

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to trade Jon Leuer to the Memphis Grizzlies for Marreese Speights, Wayne Ellington, Josh Selby.

The Grizzlies will save approximately $6 million with the trade, allowing management to avoid $4 million in luxury tax penalties. The trade will
allow the Grizzlies to keep Rudy Gay without tax penalties, but also bring more competitive offers.

The Cavaliers have waived Jeremy Pargo in order to make the trade work.

    RUDY GAY TRADED TO RAPTORS

    Image

The Grizzlies, Raptors and Pistons agreed to a six-player trade that sent star swingman Rudy Gay to Toronto.

The Grizzlies, in the midst of a money-motivated makeover, acquired forward Ed Davis and veteran guard Jose Calderon
in the deal that also sent backup center Hamed Haddadi to the Raptors.

Memphis then shipped Calderon to Detroit for Austin Daye and Tayshaun Prince. The Grizzlies also received a 2013 second-round
pick from Toronto as part of the deal.

The Dallas Mavericks, sources said, were also interested in acquiring Calderon but were not prepared to surrender swingman
Vince Carter, whom Memphis coveted to help fill the void created by Gay's departure.

No worries man, always enjoyed your stories.

I like the starters for the ASG. Good to see Timmy D getting the nod at Center over Duh-white.
