'12-'13 Update - Video Preview - BKN Jerseys & Court

Well I had the same problem as BD1899 but I got the game to work but with a setback. I had to delete the save file (000 one) in My Documents to be able to get the game to run; I'm guessing there might be corruption in the file. Somebody might have to look over the save files and see or it could still simply a resolution problem. So basically I'm playing with the default 2004 rosters but with updated art files. Until somebody can find a solution I can play this for now, oh and the updates have been pretty good. I'm liking the fictional BK stuff already.

Hey guys, i already figured out why the game crashes when your going to start a game (PC ONLY) and it really works with me.. Just follow all those instruction of jao.. Do not copy the optional folder and the file name called teams.dbf and thats it..enjoy the game..just retain the original teams.dbf came from cd installation.. I also try to play the game under dynasty, playoffs...and it works also..try it now.

Can anyone else confirm that?

Ooopps.. I forgot.. You will able to play this game with the current roster of 12'-13'... My only problem is, when i retain the original teams.dbf from cd intallation file., and i did not use jao's file, i wont able to play the other roster like australia,china..everything those other country add on from jao.. But at least im still able to play the current roster.. Jao, if you have time..can you check or review why the game crashes..other than that, theres no more problem.. I think the problem there is the Fiba add on roster..anyway man, thanks alot..keep it up..i hope theres another patch you could release for this game..,

unfortunately, it doesn't crash for me so I dont know.

Great video, live 04 is my favorite of the series as well . The gameplay was simple, but very balanced. The only basketball game i really loved playing online against other people. Also i like graphics much more than those plastic visuals on next ones.

P.S Tip regarding sliding : reduce game speed. The lower game speed, the more fluent and slide-free animations are in this game

do agree with you! live 04 is still the series i have played for more than one year, not like the others such as 2k12....

along with what andrew said, ebay will probably be the easiest place to get it, if not another archived store

i patched it, i opened the game, but why still some of the players looks wierd, i mean their head r black, and shirts are red and green....
and i cant play any games, every time i try to play the quick game/practice/1 on 1 the game just automatically closes...
please, anyone help me...

make sure you install the official patch too. 2004 is a finicky game, especially on new computers

hi, thanks JS, but i still got some problems, no matter what mode im in when i click the right bottom arrow, the game exits on its on.
the only thing i can do now is play individual practice... lol?
what am i missing?

As JaoSming said, older games like NBA Live 2004 sometimes have issues with newer computers and the latest version of Windows. If you're running Windows 7, try adjusting the compatibility settings or Windows XP Mode.

I was able to make Charlotte part of east division when playing with other roster patches but not this one.
Charlotte's roster is still in this patch but for some reason it doesn't work, weird I guess.....
I will keep you guys updated once I find out how.
