thanks for the tutorial but i have a question, is there a quicker way to know which values represents which. I was editing the Bulls court and noticed 3 of them had the same RGB numbers so i had to try out all three to find out one of them is the paint color, 3 pt line, and half court line. is there a faster way to find it or just changing and testing the only way?

if you look at the ratios, like a higher red value over the green and blue, you can know that color is reddish. but for parts, no, trial and error.

I got unwanted results from changing every value of 1 to 2
so you may want to amend that
yea I've been messing with the values and sticking to Row 6 only is the most consistent.....
...note added to the tutorial about that

In the bulls court I've been editing, if you edit row 5, it messes up. Not only that but even if you change the values back to default, the court graphics remain messed up. So backing up is always good advice lol

yea, I've stuck to row 6 only for all my courts,

hey jao, what is the reflection settings of that celtics court?
Wed Nov 21, 2012 10:24 pm
10
but it uses the 2K9 reflection map. I uploaded it last night during the live stream in the database.

Thu Nov 22, 2012 11:42 am
On row 6
Thu Nov 22, 2012 12:32 pm

Thu Nov 22, 2012 12:41 pm

Can we edit blacktop court colors as well?
Sun Nov 25, 2012 1:35 pm
those can be done with the textures in the s###.iff file, blacktop courts dont use floor files

Mon Nov 26, 2012 6:37 pm

I would like to ask if I can edit inside the paint area like in this pic below on hex on steroids? It's just my first time to try this new tool
Sun Dec 16, 2012 7:36 am
if the court itself separates those parts, then yes you can. if not, and all those sections are treated as the same part and color, then no.
Sun Dec 16, 2012 8:00 am
ok thanks for the reply. another question. Is it possible to change the size of texture in floor arenas. for example celtics middle logo has 256x256, can I change it to 1024x256?
Sun Dec 16, 2012 9:11 am
yes and no
yes you can change it like that, but the file will be corrupted and screwed up after. Some people have figured out how to do this, but have not shared how as of right now.
Sun Dec 16, 2012 9:18 am
Yes I think Amarowaade already knew how to convert texturex to high resolution.
Sun Dec 16, 2012 9:27 am
No Ariel does the conversion for him, I am somewhat close to figuring it out though and will share if I ever crack it. (If anyone here is good with hex and would like to help, let me know).

Anybody have issues with hex with steroids not saving reflection values?
Tue Jan 15, 2013 11:56 am
It happened to me a couple times, but nothing I could reproduce if I wanted to.
