Possible to customise roster in My Career mode?

After an awful AI trade which is ruining my 'My Career' experience, I'm trying to find out if its possible to customise/mod your my career roster. I'm new to modding so I don't know where to start.

Use this:

viewtopic.php?f=149&t=88196&start=100#p1566096

You could also use a combination of the Roster Editor (viewtopic.php?f=149&t=88237) and AlecZou Tool (viewtopic.php?f=149&t=88452) which gives you more control but this method is a bit more complicated.
