try my sliders AS IS, without any recommended tweaks from other users. if tweaks are made, you are no longer playing with my suggested sliders. my sliders formula works well because they blend together....and since you like challenge, try my sliders on HOF difficulty.

Haha, this is by far the funniest comment I got ever anywhere! :applaud: You are right, Leftos, I should stop worrying so much about NBA2K12 when the next one is on its way but you know, since NBA Live '97 I've been waiting for a better game engine. In the meantime they've sent a spaceship to Mars but still can't figure out the basketball game tricks for us, gamers.

Re: sevin0seven's NBA2K12 GameSliders

hmmm. this slider is tough but not realistic. here's why:

1. cpu is so strong on offensive rebounds. even opponent PGs can outrebound your PF or C who has inside position. you will most likely give up offensive rebounds to cpu even if you gang rebound as a team. there was a time when i decided to gang rebound because of the high offensive rebound rating of cpu and i have 3 men inside then suddenly earl watson (PG) outjumped pau gasol for the offensive rebound and this happened almost in a regular basis.

2. cpu is so strong on intercepting passes. its ok to me to actually have a setting like this but sometimes its just overdone. for example, derrick favors was guarding pau gasol at the post then and im controlling steve nash at the top of the key. i passed the ball to kobe at the wing and suddenly a PF, derrick favors, defending inside quickly went outside to intercept the pass of nash to kobe in the perimeter. i facepalmed on this. haha. the difficulty is way overdone. also, post entry passes are way too difficult. i had howard already sealing his man to get an entry pass to the post, but its not enough. just magically, jefferson was able to get in front of him even when he is already sealed by howard.

3. you cant defend inside efficiently because fouls are easily called. i dont have a problem on increasing foul sensitivity. but it should be called both ways. my men are getting pummelled driving inside but rarely get foul calls. on the other hand, you cant contest cpu shots inside even if you are howard with high block rating coz you will easily get called for fouls.

but its ok if this slider is made for challenge and not realism.

I think Sevin's slider both bring challenge and realism to 2K12 than any slider I tried. Did you try his version 2.0? It should had fixed some of the things you commented about.

Knowing Sevin as i know, i'm sure he'll come with answers to your commentaries Gasty. It seems very clear to me that NBA 2K13 improve the AI for the players, substancially at the offensive end, so drives, dribbles and passes got easier. I have the same critics as you, but Sevin Stats are the best, the only one who came closer to a realistc basketball game. But passing the basketball is a "driving nut" task for everybody...

updated the slider to 2.1 (look at first post). you have to manually enter the new formula in however... plays greater than before. (Y)

as per gatsy, too many "HANAMICHI SAKURAGI" even your own 4 players are ready for rebound...EXAMPLE...cpu's westbrook vs 4 players jump for a rebounds..westbrook win!!...WHAT THE F!! and all happened 10 times in 1 game....also kemba walker?? vs 3 player for a rebound??...walker win 6 times....

Re: sevin0seven's NBA2K12 GameSliders 2.1

yeah. i hope 2.1 fixes this. for me, it should not be necessarily about having a super tough slider but more on having the cpu play realistically.
i dont need the bobcats be like the heat, they just need to be the bobcats.

i haven't made a slider for 2k12 before. but if im gonna make one, it would be:
1. more pick n roll plays for cpu (if they have the Pick n Roll personnel), more iso plays for stars (if the team have one) and then some set plays - more nba'esque
2. less contact on penetration or just make it a bit tougher to block an offensive player on his penetration (especially if the rotating defender is late) - more nba'esque (blocking the penetrating player's pathway all the time in the nba is hard anyway because of the nba rules on contacts)
3. increase fouls drawn by driving players that are pummelled inside. counter this by having a bit higher block rating for both user and cpu. (so it's more like you get blocked because the center is in the right position or you go to the free throw line since the center is late AND NOT you get pummelled and there's a no call and the play resumed)

I'm not sure where you getting the Bobcats are like the Heat with this sliders, I can beat them more easily than the Heat. And I'm playing in All-Star difficulty. I actually just beat them by 15 points earlier and I never even trailed. While the Heat beat me by 12 points in a up and down game (Lebron almost had a triple double and Dwayne Wade played like Dwayne Wade). Maybe your not playing defense at all, you should lower your difficulty settings to rookie if you like to cruise against the cpu. Version 2.1 of this slider is more awesome than the first one. Great adjustment Sevin. These sliders are almost to perfection. (Y)

dont take it literally, the bobcats-heat stuff. it's just a figure of speech. the message is more like tough is not always equal to realistic, see above citations why. plus, sevin already updated his sliders so its much improved now.
