PC help

Longshot here. I screwed something up and this is my last resort before a new OS install is needed.

Ended up screwing up my game, so that it now saves to appdata\local\virtualstore\ instead of the usual roaming folder, and now whenever I try uninstalling or installing the game I get a "Can't Access network location \." error message before anything really happens.

All I did was mess around with a couple small texture mods, really don't understand how this could have happened. I've tried a few fixes already that didn't help the situation. I should also note the game still runs, just saves to that stupid folder even with parts of UAC disabled.

If anybody has a registry fix or has an idea what is wrong, please let me know!

open start menu, type regedit.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER ->Software -> 2K Sports -> NBA 2K13
take a look if there are correct locations for save files
English is not my native language.

Holy crap... Thank you. I had taken a gander into those files before, but honestly I've never touched the registry before so didn't know what to look for.

Changed those values to the proper locations and now install/uninstallation works fine. Still have no idea how they were changed in the first place.

You just saved me at least a couple hours. Thank you very much Kristo!

Hey, what are the proper locations, ihad the similar problem of having that same error message when i install. But before that its due to the game loading to a Black screen and not starting. so anyway i deleted it and there came 'could not access network location'. so what is to be done exactly, i dont know what to do with the registry. thanks.
