Pau Gasol will probably have 85 rating.

That is 4 players over 85 in the starting lineup. 2 of them over 90. And combined with the fact that they are all superstars who will be able to do superman type of stuff along with their Signature skills adding even more effect....the opponents are fucked

Nash should have a 99 passing but at his age I don't know what else he did last year to earn a ratings BUMP. He had career lows(as a starter) in Ppg, Rbg, Spg, 3p%, and minutes per game. He's horrible defensively, and he's not very athletic.

Who cares, as long as they play accurately in the game.

Starter career lows in rpg and spg, no he did not.
You also answered why he had starter career low averages.
His 3PT% went down and yet he matched his career starter season high for FG%.
HE'S USING HYPNOSIS!

Nash is like a fine wine - his overall rating gets bumped up 3 points.

Yep, just like wine.

Kemba Walker is too overrated for me since his minutes are limited last season 75 is fine

It does seem like a few of Walker's ratings may be a bit generous with an overall like that. I'd have thought McGee would be rated higher, given his athleticism, dunking prowess and blocking numbers. Smith is perhaps a little too high but it's par for the course with him; his athleticism and brilliance in a couple of areas always bring his overall up a bit higher than it perhaps should be, compared to other players.

Kemba's rating seems a little high. I want to see Kyrie's rating but I'm to lazy to ask for it on twitter.

I miss NBA Live 2000 in this aspect. Tim Duncan was the best regular player with an overall of 90. KG was the second one, with 89. Jordan, who was in 90's all-star, had 95. Magic and Bird had 93 or 92 or something like that. In 2K games is much more frequent to see players reaching the 90 mark. Some regular/good players get close to this point too. IMO the 90+ should be more selective, I mean, only the greats could get into that. Other point is that a guy can reach the 99 overall in 2K games with some good room to improve in some skills yet.

Maybe this is because I play on PC, but I don't really care about the ratings.

Since ratings can be changed in-game, they're not really an issue for any platform if you don't like what you see out of the box.

I won't be buying the console version this year, the main advantage it has is it's online play and that's basically down the drain with as many people will cheese the Lakers now.

I hope Kemba lives up to this rating. I think he can.

He and MKG are going to make the Bobcats bearable to play with without making unrealistic trades.

You'd rank Josh Smith that much higher than Griffin, Dirk, Pau, and Aldridge? I like Josh Smith as much as the next guy, but that's a bit excessive.
