ABA Expansion Pack UPDATE V1.1

I dont remember, I set up the teams a month ago...I BELIEVE I edited the original NBA teams first (GID 0 to 31) then cloned them and gave the cloned ones GID's 400 upward and edited Audio ID's/colors/etc. on both versions.

I looked everywhere, I'm not sure why this isnt working!
I have a few suspissions:

I assigned some coaches to multiple teams, could that be the issue?

Also, many teams use the same court, I still have UBR26 with the "wooden" Kiel Autatorium, which was updated I believe! I wanted to copy the old one and add it to the mod, for now, as a court to use until I might receive courts. So the teams would have a nice, plain court for the time beeing, is assigning the same court to multiple teams a problem?

I voted for the second option. Chris, you're missing something cause as long as you keep the original TeamID's and GIDs association should work regardless of jersey, team name, team roster etc. changes. With which method you're injecting the teams?

I agree with Nuhmete... second option... but also as Nuhmete mentioned you must be doing something wrong because it's definetely possible to do this... just keep the same GID and change the logo field on both the team tab AND jersey tab... you must also keep the TTYPES the same.... but you can edit the audio and anything else you want to

I think I got all that covered, TTYPES for overwriten stayed the same, the cloned ones are CAT

I'm sure one of our experts can sort that out for you Chris. I have made various changes such as this to rosters but I'm sure that the other guys watching this will have far more knowledge than I can share with you - especially seeing as I'm at work at the moment

Nevermind! I allready started the process of completely rebuilding the rosterfile!

I've added 17 of the 30 teams so far and asso and season mode work!

This may add a day until release, but I think thats worth it!

Sorry Chris, that's my fault for not alerting you about that issue. I got so many little things to do, that i forget to told you about the 67 Muskies 11 player roster!

No no, its totally fine! They had only 11 players on their roster, its not an error, and the game works with "just" 11 players on that team! Everything is fine!

EXPANSION PACK PREVIEWS

DEVELOPEMENT STATUS:

Needs to be done until release of V1:

- adjust Tendencies for all players
- adjust Playtype's for all players
- check playbooks for best possbile compatibility
- edit/check shoes for all players
- create white Caps home jersey
- create a couple of players I forgot (5-8)

With the initial release less then a week away, I edited the "needed Cyberfaces" list and put them into categories, in hope that we might be able to include a couple more faces of very important players!

I hope that we are all going to enjoy that fantastic Kareem/Lew that IronMike created on page 2 - I know he wasn't ABA but it is brilliant

I reckon that the George gervin in the UBR is pretty dodgy (appologies if he was done by anyone on the board ) and could do with a re-work as well.

I would love to be able to get involved but don't have the knowledge of how to save and migrate unless somebody can point me to a tutorial that shows you what to do with faces once you've created them

Thanks Nib, any help I can get or faces I receive before release will be included! Offcourse I'll update the mod when I receive more, francis has offered himself to create courts, so look out for updates past release!

Hi Chris - Just had a look at the ABA beta roster and drooling at prospect of finished item

A couple of things that jumped out at me are -

Rick Mount is rated way too high - fantastic college career, dud as a pro

Nuggets Issel and Thompson rated too low for the 1970s when they were at their prime and George McGinnis probably is in the couple of teams he's in . Other than that looks very playable.

On the graphics side of things, the heads for George Gervin and Elvin Hayes taken from the original game or UBR look like half-sucked lollies and could do with a re-work by some clever person

Thanks dwarf! Don't be fooled by the ratings, as far as I can see, the players behave pretty good from what I can tell! Once the mod is out there, I'll consider changes to almost every aspect, be it ratings or other things. Issel I wanted to check, because he's on 4 teams I think, Mount I dont know, because there's litterely no gametape from the ABA with the exception of 4-5 games and a couple of documentarys. All I can go by is stats, its very hard to get every player "right" with this method.

As far as faces go: I'm very thankfull for every face I receive from the community, there are still A LOT of players with generic faces, so I'm not at the point where I'm worried about replacing faces I do have!

With 2k13 right around the corner, this mods lifespan is limited anyway, maybe when the tools are out in a couple of months, and the possibility is there, I'll convert it. I'm not so naive to believe that modders will care so much that this mod will receive a lot of generated artfiles once 2k13 hits. All I can hope for is that, before and after release, Laker06, Awesome, Rlambert and Mike will help out to get the most important faces, and If I'm lucky, some others in here.

Plus, making CF for this mod or any players of that era is extra hard, because you have litterely no source matterial to work with, meaning good quality color pictures! Most are small, black and white, so the CF makers have to do ALOT of moddeling by hand.

I've only been active here since march, I've had my hand in a little bit of everything modding wise, and cyberfaces are not my strongsuit. It is just very satisfiing to see and idea of mine comming together in this mod with the help of everybody involved. Every team I made or received, every face and jersey thats added, and the fact that people care and help out for free in their freetime is just the simple greatest thing about this community!

Any files I'll receive after the release, will be added frequently. Just 2-3 days and I'll be done, after that everybody can sent in bugs, suggestions and critisism and I'll take care of it the best I can.

Hi Chris - Wouldn't it be nice if they made lots of the artwork and mods transferable from 2k12 to 2k13 . I'm sure that they could change gameplay and other important bits without having to tamper with structures such as roster design, uniforms and CFs - but who knows .

I think that all of those people who have contributed are doing a fabulous job and the only thing that would make me put down 2k12 once you've finished this and IronMike has finished his 1988, and buy 2k13 is if similar things were happening to improve the game with more UBRs and mods but there has to come a time when people find other things to do than this - but hopefully not

Red, touched a sensible point here, that's what i'm really thinking a couple of days before... Will NBA 2K13 be able to receive all the file and game enhance achievements we made this year with 2K12????

As a Former Live player and patcher i must say that not all the games have this capacity, but i really saw that some art files can be converted from priors 2K Games. Imagine all the Mods, faces, courts, shoes, add ons, players, teams, rosters and add ons come together as compatible files to 2K13???

It'll be awesome!

Fingers crossed NIB - it would encourage me to buy 2k13 whereas if they are not compatable I will probably stick with what I have with 2k12

Chris, i got some problems here, but i can't regret of nothing, cause instead of been out, instead of all the work i did in the past (MORE THEN 2300 JERSEYS textures for an old Live Series) and several teams for many differents Mods around... Every work that i passionate dedicate myself 100%, that most people don't even know about it, but a few sincere and REALLY GREAT GENTLEMAN that recognize it... So, as i never consider myself as a major patcher like you, or as a Team Member or any thing like that, i must thank you to be a good and really friend when i needed most!

It's a pleasure and a honor to see my name into this Projects, like the Ultimate Base Roster or into the Expansion Pro by Sevin, they'll be forever in my heart and mind always more important then to be recognize anywhere else. Hi Chris - The ABA mod seems to be in hiding at the moment . Do you have any idea what may have happened to it or is it customary for there to be a wait before they show up in the download section
