Orlando wasn't trying to move it, they were trying to move Richardson's. Hedo's is only partially guaranteed next season and then ends. Richardson's goes for the same amount but for three years.

hahahaha, this sums up how stupid the orl FO is..now their best player is aflallo? and those protected picks   ..history repeats itself(every dominant big men goes to la), but these lakers starting 5 is so complete.. problem is their bench, "what if" 1 of the starting 5 is hurt? i also suspect the locker room since this is kobe's team. nash(leader of the suns for almost a decade), howard(uhm..), should keep their mouth shut..I know their team is scary(for now), but this team is not build in the long run since kobe/gasol might retire/leave after 2-3 years, then it'll leave them w/ nash(40's) and maybe dwight(IMO, he will stay there, no more drama please  ).. everybody wins except the magic,  ..

Astounded at how little the Magic got. They trade Dwight and don't get Iggy or Bynum. Afflalo is a nice player, and Vucevic can start at Center if you aren't trying to win now. Eyenga sucks and Harkless probably won't be any good. Harrington and McRoberts can play but aren't great and this team will look a lot like last year's Hornets. Compare it to what Paul hauled in (young fringe all-star, expirings, a young guy and a lottery pick) or even the offers from Houston and Brooklyn, and it just looks terrible.

Lakers are likely favorites to win it all now and good for them, since they have Nash and aren't Miami or OKC. Philly moves in a new direction, frees up their rotation and raises their ceiling as a team. Denver trades a couple role players for an all-star who happens to be a perfect fit for the roster.

I bet Magic fans wished the league owned them right now.

with this trade done, the Magic will now have assets :) Hennigan's plan was for future of the organization. clearing cap space and future picks . as i saw before, the Nets offered Lopez, Humphries, Brooks and 4 future 1st round picks how come the Magic didn't take it?

LOL hating on what? haha I was just laughing about this trade(orl FO)..and it is very clear that lakers always get those dominant big men (wilt, hakeem, kareem, shaq, dwight), it's just repeating, where the last 2 are from orl..not surprised about the trade actually, as i've said before chances if dwight is traded now(in LA), trade deadline(nets),FA(dallas)..maybe hating on the fact that it is still kobe's team? i love kobe but you can't deny the fact that still he is the man on this team while he's there..ask shaq, now bynum? haha he's had history on killing those big men..and about bynum, now you'll see the difference when he's playing w/ good players(pau, kobe) and now that he's on sixers w/ jrue(doesnt pass) and turner (can't shoot), he might get injured again on that team since he would increase his usage rate and add the long season(82 games) again w/c he never finished in his whole career..

LA's plan might be after kobe/pau(2yrs), they'll build around dwight(w/c is good). but then again, i hope there's no more drama this time, no more trolling   ..imagine another dwightmareIXVIVIIVIIVXXIVV..

oh, about those info's.. i've never said it's always nets, HE dwight himself, his agent, his teamates. it's just the orl doesn't want to trade him to his desired team. and rejecting their offer for afflalo?harkless?vucevic? and PROTECTED picks is simply stupid. or can somebody tell it isn't?

hope everything goes well for your team there, and yeah how i wish mike brown can now coach kobe..

Even the bench looks respectable compare to last season. I am thinking the Heat really need to look for big now.

Everybody is thinking up Lakers for the next season Champions. But hey, it's not that easy :D

It would still be very difficult for them to overcome OKC let alone Heat.

And what's to say everybody will be playing at their primes? Howard recently had a back surgery affects of which shouldn't go away till late this year.

Even it will be tough in the next 3 - 4 years, but this is the only way for the Magic for a clean start over. Imo it does not make sense to trade for a player like Bynum when you are in the same position as before with Howard or Gasol with 40 million over the next two years. Magic need to go for top 3 picks in the next years to find a new franchise player to build around not stick in mediocrity.

Call me hating on Dwight(or Lakers) but I think he implicitly approved a trade to the Lakers which I think he made decision more for money and little bit of winning. First he wanted the team to himself in a basketball meca city, until the Nets fucked it up. Then the Lakers. Top 2 biggest cities for any sports. His only 2 choices being NYK and LAL, makes me think money/fame was the biggest factor in his decision. I sorta stopped liking this kid though he probably made a good choice to join the Lakers if he was chasing the ring right now. Will be very hard for me to root for Nash.

It was both. That's why Brooklyn, LA, Dallas were top 3. 3 of the biggest markets, all with a chance to compete way more than Orlando could ever do. As far as Brooklyn goes, I understood the youth aspect of going there and at the time it looked great especially after getting Joe Johnson. The Lakers were coming off a dismal year and had no starter quality point guard with a aging Kobe and Gasol. Then Nash is there and Jamison signs along with Jordan Hill and all of a sudden the Lakers look like serious contenders even w/o him.
Throw in he was already living here for 4 months and then Magic Johnson got him the VIP treatment at the Dodgers games and all the fan love, it really swayed him over. Also, he gets a $250M shoe deal w/ Adidas now if im not mistaken so I'm sure his agent and camp were pushing him to a bigger market as well, but seeing him after being introduced you can tell he's happy to be here. And him saying the banners and trophies also weighs a lot to players because they know this franchise doesn't play around about winning and I believe he understands that and has finally embraced the fact that you don't have to join a franchise w/o a history & legacy to create your own.

lol at hating Dwight just because of the money. What, he didn't follow LeBron's example?

His first option was the Nets. He wanted to play with his friend Deron Williams. Same reason those two clowns in Miami joined Wade.
The Nets also have an owner who is willing to throw money on players and owners faces, so getting other players to help him and Deron to go for more W's wouldn't be a problem but as we all know that didn't happen.

Knicks have Melo, Amare/Chandler. If he got traded to the Knicks he would be forming a threesome like some clowns in Miami did.

Even Dallas, he was hoping to team up with Dirk and Deron there.

Don't hate on him just because he got to the Lakers and team up with other good players while still getting paid. That's just smart business.

What he should be hated though is that clusterfuck he did in Orlando same way LeBron should be hated for the clusterfuck that was known as The Decision.

That's true as been said before. But... it's the Lakers. He's dead. Dead to me. Like Allen/Battier is to you.

key player on this new super LA team? IMO is nash.. how is he gonna control the tempo, where to pass and specially how to control kobe when he's off.. he should take the leadership role as for controlling the ball(past rivalry?here comes team chemistry).. and about their frontcourt? pau needs to take those outside/mid rage shots consistently to make room for dwight.. there are some centers can take dwight 1-on-1, he's used to own the paint, now he should share it to pau(bynum's style is a lot more different than dwight's), w/c may take time to get comfortable.. again if nash stays healthy and happy playing w/ kobe and the team, this is a championship team.. and expect mike brown fired if this team is underachieving, by who?(kobe decides for the team, partly).. expect lesser ave. in pt's in each of them, since they'll play for kobe they should make-way on his quest for the 6th, after that? everything will just fade-away, you know what i mean
