USA Vs Lithuania - History DENIED

Postby Like A Boss on Sun Aug 05, 2012 12:09 pm

The USA denied their history to match the 92' USA OLYMPIC Team which is more known as the dream team because of the hard defense and great coordination of the Lithuania. Which forced them to call a timeout in the middle minutes of the 2nd quarter. The fight was close in all the 4 quarters until the USA pulled away within the two minute mark and they leaned on LeBron James. The final score was 99 - 94 with USA winning.

So what do you guys think about this match can it be considered one of the best match?

I think there have been only three good games so far.

1:USA vs. Lithuania
2:Spain vs. Russia
3:France vs. Argentina

Lithuania ran a high pick-and-roll to death that the Americans never really figured out how to stop.

Well that was pathetic.

Didn't catch the game but it sure sounds like I missed out on a good one, a candidate for game of the tournament.

i say, one of the best game so far. the Lithuania even led at one time in the 4th quarter. the turnovers killed them....and Lebron at the 4th. haha.

it was probably the last time Sarunas and Songolia will be playing for the Lithuania team. they both had a solid game. Kleiza was a beast though. (Y)

After incredible performance against USA, Liths just played our worst game against Tunisia and were choking by -14 in 3rd quater. Atleast managed to do the final push and seal the victory by double digits in the end..

Anyways i think this is weakest Lithuanian roster in olympic tournaments so far. Very bad tournament for our main pg Kalnietis, who supposed to be major engine on our offense like in 2010 World cup. Saras still got his touch, but can't hold it for more than 20 mins anymore. Valanciunas is not solid against avarage/weak international teams, what will he do in the nba i have no idea. Maybe nba-like training will build some mass on him and he'll come back strong.. to europe..

Still the game against USA was awesome to watch. Staying in the game when USA hit 6 3pointers and score 33points in 1st quater was huge achievment. Hope we will fight like that against Russia now.

Hadn't happened yet when Dc311 posted that, but I think it has to be on the list now.
