Atlanta Hawks Dynasty

Postby Alcoholic on Sun Jun 13, 2004 11:32 am

I've started an Atlanta dynasty. Here are my settings:

Superstar
12 Minute Quarters

I've changed the sliders a bit, most notably changing reach in fouls (100), lowering freestyle effectiveness, slightly lowering mid and short range shooting, increasing fatigue (55), decreasing shooting fouls, and increasing in air collision fouls (90).

I made some offseason moves prior to the 2003-2004 season, and here is my current roster:

Roster lineup last updated after Game 2

I have slightly rebuilt this team and I am focusing around Richard Jefferson. I have made him an SG and I plan on developing my franchise around him. I don't believe he can do things himself so hopefully Stephen Jackson and Richard Jefferson will make a fine duo, and the other players can pitch in their fair share of points.

Please give me feedback for example if there are too many screenshots please let me know I will try to make this pleasureable viewing for everyone. :D

Baron Davis

The final score - 91 to 137

Despite offseason moves, Atlanta was blown out in their season opening game. Atlanta shot very poorly from the field, and turned the ball over numerous times. Atlanta was not playing their best.

Richard Jefferson was also destroying David Wesley

The final score - 99 to 108

Atlanta supposedly had this game, but costly mistakes in the 4th quarter allowed Chicago to pull away for the win. Kirk Hinrich was hurt badly during the 3rd quarter, but he was able to return, and has now shaken off the injury.

Not a bad dynasty. Simple and plain but it's straight to the point on basketball.

I like it (Y)

love the dynasty so far mate :D
Was it a striaght up trade of Jason Terry for RJ that you did?
i know how hard it is trying to win with the Hawks so if your looking to upgrade then the PF spots the place to do it.

Right now my only players that can really produce are Stephen Jackson and Richard Jefferson. The other players can pitch in points, and Boris Diaw has been doing great off the bench. I think it was a straight trade for Richard Jefferson. I'm getting losses right now but don't worry I think this current roster is enough to bring in the wins. I'm not looking for any star players but maybe players that are a little better at producing will help.

Atlanta played hard for their first win

Indiana @ Atlanta
Game 3
Image

Key Player

Image
Richard Jefferson

The final score - 142 to 140

Despite the final score, this game did not go into overtime. Atlanta wasn't about to let this game go. The Pacers played hard and showed why they are playoffs contenders. The game was tied throughout the game, then Indiana made a run in the 2nd. In the 2nd half, it was all about playing catchup, from a 15 point deficit. Both teams seemingly caught fire from the field, causing the team scores to soar. Down to the wire, Richard Jefferson made the game winning bucket after getting an inbounds pass with 15.9 seconds left. Richard Jefferson showed why he was the key player.

There was no stopping Stephen Jackson

Image
Mamadou N'diaye was banged up, but able to return. Upon returning, he was banged up even more, and was forced to sit out the rest of the game. He has now shaken off any ill effects of the injury.

Atlanta needed a new game plan at halftime to erase the 15 point deficit

Just a suggestion but I think you should lower your quarters due to the high scores. Maybe to like 9 minutes per or something along those lines.

Yeah part of the reason of the high scores is the frustration when I'm behind and I try to catchup but the computer just keeps on scoring too so it leads to high scores... don't worry I'll try to keep the scores low like in game 2, if I change the minutes then the minutes per game will be all out of wack... thanks for the feedback though.

The final score - 111 to 110

Atlanta was looking to exact revenge on New Orleans from a game one loss, and they suceeded. New Orleans was tough, and both teams shot well from the field, but Atlanta had the edge. An unexpected player had a breakout game: Joel Przybilla. Przybilla dominated the game with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
