v0.2.4 released!

This version moves compatibility to REditor v3.7, which means you no longer work with copy-pasted TSVs, but rather the REditor exported CSVs.

Other minor fixes are in there as well.

Can somebody help me please? And yes, i`ve seen all tutorials and have Roster Merge 0.2.4 and Roster Editor 3.7.

KL4, your regional settings has ";" as a list separator which I hadn't put code in to handle, as CSVs are usually just that, "comma-separated values". I'll be uploading a new version that fixes this issue in a few minutes.

mlp111, it's not a similar error. You didn't extract everything from the 7z into the folder, because RosterMerge can't find the required DLL which I've packed in the 7z file.

Leftos, sorry for that, i figured it out anyways, what happened was somehow i during the extraction, it duplicated the program in two different locations, so i had to delete one and everything worked!

This tool doesn't work fine for me. After i've made all steps on "DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS", I load the roster and players, who were traded, are all in their old team roster, but behind them you can see logos of their new teams and the info is correct. I mean years pro etc... If I start a new game all players are in their old teams and I can't trade them.."The player is already inthe team"???????????????????

hey Leftos,I'm having a problem merging ubr 23 with any roster even the 2k default roster. certain players are replaced with the wrong player ie. mike bibby on the knicks is replaced with Mike bibby a young mike bibby (not sure which one kings or grizzlies), David Lee on the warriors is replaced with Lee from the vc team, Reggie williams from the bobcats is replaced with 93 nuggets or 89 cavs version. those are the only examples I noticed there may be others. I followed the instructions exactly, I've been successful merging multiple rosters in the past without problems the only change was to the version 2.5. Is anyone else having this issue

i'm having the same problem, like current kobe gets replaced with afro kobe and portraits get messed up as well.... also not all the teams are being transfered over... so i am experiencing the same issue!

First of all, do all of you have the REditor license that allows you to edit the Teams tab? If not, team rosters will not be affected.

Secondly, if the wrong players get replaced (haven't had this problem yet), it's because you're choosing the wrong guys in the Resolve Conflict window. Select only the 30 current teams to be carried over, and then when the first resolve conflict window appears, tell it to not bother you unless the TeamID is different.

There's no changes in v0.2.5 that would change how Roster Merge acts (other than make it compatible with all cultures), but if there's a scenario that works in a previous version but not in 0.2.5, tell me the exact steps to reproduce it.

Oh, and Syncinatti, do not PM me with tools issues, especially when you're copy-pasting the same question you put in the thread. The thread's the right place to ask for help, not my inbox.

1. yes i have full license version of reditor
2. i followed your steps in the tutorial to the fullest, did everthing you did, used the same rosters and the problem is still there, i redid the steps about 5 time, using a clean version of the roster each time to eliminate error, in the end, same problems are there,

Fixes a bug since 0.2.4 that would pick the wrong player as a first choice in the conflict resolution window.

Leftos,

I have a question about your tool. I think I understand how it works but I need to confirm.

Would it be possible with your tool to take ubr roster and pick, say, 30 teams I would like, and then overwrite or just add those teams and players to some other roster (preferrably albys)? ubr has this problem where it has too many teams and stats are screwed up in association. that appears to be a function of him having added too many teams and thus having no place to keep the stats during season. So, if you use more than 4-5 classic teams, the stats get screwed up.

I would like to create a new roster but only take 30 or so teams from his ubr roster and add it to another roster and then see if asociation stats would work with a complete classic setup, all 30 teams. I see that you commented on jaosmings attempt to create something similar so I wanted to hear what you think.

Yes, it is quite possible, however, since I created Roster Merge in the MIDDLE of my exams period, i haven't had the time to make it quite the tool I wanted to, but I'll soon add many more features.

Right now, the only 30 teams option you get is the 30 current teams, you can't select 30 teams specifically and copy just those to a new roster, but that's one of the first things in my ToDo list once I get back to my work computer in a few days.

Until then, if you feel okay with the 30 current teams, this feature is already in Roster Merge. If you want to pick which 30 teams to copy over from UBR, wait a few days and you'll get that feature.

brilliant! if you can add a functionality to copy over teams/players for certain teams that we would like from one roster to another, that would be fantastic. I promise to donate generously when you have that in there. that would effectively allow us to create custom roster files from UBR that would work in association/season (I hope :).

do I need Reditor with full functionality to be able to do that merge?

That's exactly the point of the next major release of Roster Merge coming up tomorrow or the next few days. Grabbing 30 teams from any roster like UBR, and creating a roster that works with ANY mode with no issues.

Is it possible to play a match with 13 players like in the real NBA?? I think this needs to change!!

Nothing to do with Roster Merge, but in any case, it's not possible. I'm guessing it will be in the 2K13 rules though.

Hello i got an issue with Roster Merger v.0.2.6
example when i combine ubr (bio, status, appearance, contract) to another roster..
and then when i go to the rosters
I still see CJ watson in the bulls roster but his team is in brooklyn nets
Correy Maggete is in the bobcats roster, but his team is in detroit pistons
Louis Williams is still in the 76ers roster, but his team is in atlanta hawks
and many other players...
when I try to assign them to their team, a message comes up and says they are already assigned to their team.. but they are still in their old roster

How do I fix this? i followed the tutorial exactly
