I liked JVG's comment about KG needing to return to the Celtics for one more year, just to see them play the Hornets and find out whether he'd clock his coach's kid.

Man my Mavs are confusing me... they're really high on Cunningham and some anaylysts said it was a steal but they could've gotten him at 33, and then gone with Perry Jones at 24. Oh well, the Mavs suck at drafting anyway :wall:

They are basically just using luck in the draft and with Rick Carlisle coaching rookies won't get that much playing time anyway

I like MKG, but we pretty much drafted him again in the second round by selected Jeffrey Taylor.

I had Moultrie in my top 10, I was amazed when the Heat picked him, then equally amazed when they traded him.

I really didn't expect the Sixers to pick up a SF when they have Iggy with Thad Young and Turner also able to play there. We need someone with some range next to Turner, yet we pick a guy with athleticism and size, as always. If we're taking a perimeter player, it really wouldn't hurt to take someone who can shoot the ball for once.

Yeah, I know Iggy's on the block and may get traded. But he's been on the block for at least 2 years now. At this point, with this bullshit going on for so long, I'll believe in Iggy being traded when I see it happen.

As for Moultrie, I didn't want him with the 15th pick, but via a trade for a 2nd rounder and a future lottery-protected 1st rounder... the deal seems alright. 6'11'', athletic, good rebounder (!) and can shoot, he should be useful.

Lol, those Knicks' fan surely hadn't seen Papanikolaou playing. He's a great payer, a steal on the draft. He will prove this from the moment he will step on the floor for them.

As for the Bulls' pick. I was really surprised Teague was still available! He is a great choice for the Bulls, the best possible from the available players. With him, Rose and (maybe) Billups, Bulls are going to form a really solid playmaking trio. Teague is going to be a solid PG on his prime.

Knick fans are frustrated - we've been down this road before with these retarded picks. Knicks need guard help, yet they draft a SF who won't be available until 2014. I don't think we'll ever see him in a Knick uniform.

Our front office is a big reason why this franchise hasn't won shit since 1973. And our draft history since Ewing has been pathetic - not many gems.

Papanikolaou said already on Greek media that he's planning on trying his luck in the NBA next season, so I think that sooner or later you are going to see him on a knicks' Jersey. And he was the best talent available at that spot after all.

Bill Simmons' best piece of year, the annual draft diary is up at http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/811 ... -diary-xvi

8:23 — Detroit snaps up a relieved Drummond at no. 9. "He's giving me everything I want," Jacoby says. "At first, he was super-sad and emotional and vulnerable, and then he seemed happier than anyone when he shook hands with Stern. I'm in on him."

8:24 — Bilas mentions that Drummond shot 29 percent on free throws last year. "What?????" Jacoby yelps with a mouthful of meatballs. "I'm out on Drummond." That was fast. You could say Drummond is a combination of Shaquille O'Neal (free throws), Dikembe Mutombo (low-post moves), Andrew Bynum (effort) and Bubba Watson (emotional stability)....

No, I didn't say that. I just gave what I believe a realistic scenario for year 1 of his career will look like. As he develops, I see him being able to eventually become a 20ppg scorer like Zo was.

I think Denver did pretty well. I was a bit confused by the Evan Fournier pick, but only because I knew nothing of him. He's getting a lot of hate on the Nuggets facebook page, but I'm willing to give him a chance to prove himself since the Nuggets have done pretty well in drafting the previous few years. I really like the Quincy Miller pick. I was actually hoping they'd take him at 20, but I was pleasantly surprised when he was still on the board in the second round. And I don't really have an opinion on Turkey İzzet Türkyılmaz... the Nuggets already have enough centres, so he won't be coming over for a while.

Highlight of the draft for me was Stern thanking the fans for their hospitality. Such an epic troll

The Rockets drafting 2 SFs was the one that confused me. They traded Bud for Morris' development and then they drafted those?

I like the guys the Nuggets took, but now they have too many young promising swingmen.

I think badreligionau might have forgot about Jordan Hamilton or whatever his name is. Another former potential lottery pick that fell to Nuggets due to unpolished game.

I remember Hamilton; he was a part of the trade that got Andre Miller back to Denver (and more importantly, Raymond Felton away from Denver  )

Interested to see what he can do. Youtube highlights aren't the same as watching him live.

I'd sure as hell want Perry Jones III as my backup combo forward on cheap rookie contract than Jeff Green on $10 mill per year
