Dynasty?

Postby -BHZMAFIA- on Mon Jun 14, 2004 12:11 pm

OK, I have done 2 dynasties that have been pretty good from your responses. After looking at how long cocobee dynasty has lasted and Andrew, I want to go far like they did. If I can stay consistent with my dynasty I'm pretty sure I can make it one of the best out there. All I need is a team that I can really have fun with and I don't want to have to make hardly any trades that will make my team too strong. So I basically want a team where I like most of the players and won't have to trade. I also want to do a dynsty where alot of people haven't done before. The teams I have thought about are Suns, Sonics and Pacers. I like the Pacers, but I think I would end up not liking them later on because I dont like Tinsley that much. Sonics is basically my last choice because I have seen a few Suns dynasties. Can someone please help and see how I can make my dynasty more fun than what it was before. I wish I could take pics for my dynasties, but I cant. If I can add pics to my dynasty I think it would really help it.

I go with Seattle they have a good 1&2 punch in ray allen and rashard lewis. the only think you will have to get is a decent center or PF depending if you like Nick Collison who is a decent PF.

i just might keep collison on IR since he is in real life. I would most likely use Rad cuz i like his game. jerome james is a good C in the game as well. thats why i say if i got them i would mostl ikely do no trading probably.

pg-barry
sg-allen
sf-lewis
pf-rad
c-james

thats how my lineup would probably look if i got them. anymore thoughts?

do one with minnesota. they could be a team that you could go far with. But if you feel that you're too powerful with KG on your team ... i suggest that you pick Toronto.

I can't really recommend a team that will definitely hold your interest, but a sustained interest in your Dynasty definitely ensures you'll be playing it for a long time. It also depends whether you're watching the games (as you did with your Grizzlies' Dynasty) or actually playing them. As I've found a way to keep my game fairly realistic while still being challenging, I always play the games when I have the time.

Setting goals always helps. Striving to get one of your players an individual honour can keep things fresh and interesting. With NBA Live 2005 on the way, you might find it a little difficult to maintain your interest in NBA Live 2004 though.

Best of luck! (Y)

i know you said you wouldnt want to trade. But why not just trade tinsley. One trade wont make the team much less authentic. I think itd be interesting. (I have the same thing, i like the pacers, but dont like using tinsley too much)

What about your nuggets? You were one of a couple that did one. You should have kept going.

yea, but that's why i like the sliders i have now. im using cocobee's sliders because i wanted to see how challenging they were because he had such a great team. he still lost some games though. those are some very challenging sliders and sometimes i get games in the 70's or low 80's. as for the pacers, there are more people than just tinsley i dont like. i dont like tinsley, anderson, pollard, foster, croshere. its just somethin about them i dont enjoy. the only reason i do like them is because of joneal, harrington and artest is aight imo. there was one team i was thinking about last night which was the pistons. i have them in one of my leagues and im 36-0 with them so far. it wont be as easy to make them that good in the game because of the sliders. i still like my pick in seattle though.

my league will end in about 3 weeks anyway, so i was going to find something to do until live 2005 come out or madden.

How about a Detroit or New Jersey Dynasty?
Theres not been too many of those + they dont really need that much done to teh rosters.
imo id go one of these teams but if its from the list you gave then the Pacers would be my choice (Y)
