Feels weird when you open a Miami Heat thread that the idiocy and retardation you see is not from a Heat fan.

Yeah, we can probably give that a rest now.

This made me realize there were more Heat and Lebron memes than I have ever imagined. Good for laughs though. Somewhat generalizes general consensus out there.

The Heat will sweep the Knicks, Pacers and the Bulls and yall bow down to the King

Listened to Greg Anthony's perspective from Yahoo Sports and he has some interesting points in his view. He basically doesn't believe that the Heat are any better than last year. We've been pounded on the board all season long and haven't been a good rebounding team. In short, the Heat are an undersized team. Many big losses and mental lapses were seen often. And the players? Wade and Bosh have been worse this season and added players aren't really showing up. And the success of the season depended on Lebron James more than last season. Which all are true. So he doesn't believe the Heat will come out on top from East. We will see though. I do believe this team is better equipped than last season especially experience of playing together playing a big part along with healthy role players.

Doesn't look like they'll have to worry about the Bulls, I'd say cross them off the list.
Those issues are cause for concern but I still like Miami's chances of coming out of the East. As far as beating whoever comes out of the West...well, it may end up being a similar situation to last year, but there's still too much talent there for another Finals appearance to be an unreasonable expectation.

hey, will LEBRON get both the MVP and defensive player of the year?

what an achievement, only olajowon and jordan won that in the same season..
Sun Apr 29, 2012 10:13 pm
LeBron will definitely win the MVP, but as far as Defensive player of the year goes... Ibaka comes first in my mind, though James did a hell of a job and definitely deserves one. Co-DPOY?

The Celtics will give Miami a run for their money but I like the Heat's chances of coming out in the East, against either Lakers or Thunder. Probably Thunder. Bosh and Wade need to start playing better, though.

i think the defensive player will be chosen from the team that limits its opponent, or the most defensive team. i think bulls earn that? but its a total team effort..

You realize that's it voted on by sportswriters right?

DPOY will be either Chandler or Ibaka, don't see LeBron getting it.

Of course I do, I'd bet my money on him getting the MVP, it's just so obvious.

They've already given him two and like Dwight they probably want something new. Something with a better story than "best player in the league is best player in the league" when there's another nice humble player (ala last year) there who everyone likes.

Believe what you want, his achievements this season speak for themselves. If Durant ends up with the MVP, good for him, but Kobe deserves it as much as KD does.
Tue May 01, 2012 5:29 pm
I'd say KD's claim is stronger than Kobe's and it wouldn't be an undeserving win, but I'm still picking LeBron as well.
Tue May 08, 2012 12:44 pm
LEBRON got a 3 mvp's already... kobe had 1.. but became the 2nd high scorer in a game in the nba history,, a 4 time all star mvp.a two time finals mvp.have been part in all nba teams and defensive teams.. do you think lebron will surpass that all?
Wed May 09, 2012 6:33 pm
Lebron's post up disappeared since February. Surprised the critics haven't pointed it out yet.
Thu May 10, 2012 1:19 pm
He's still playing at a high level and the Heat have been winning; indeed, they're officially through to the second round today. If it proves to be a weakness at a more crucial juncture and the Heat fall short of the championship this season, it'll probably draw more attention.

Greg Oden wants to play for the heat!
Thu May 17, 2012 5:47 pm
Miami aren't winning the title this year, heat fans.
Not unless Bosh comes back from injury early, which is doubtful.
Thu May 17, 2012 5:54 pm
Easy to say that right now. But never say never. There's still good chance that we will get to the Finals and we will still have Lebron and Wade in the Finals, two the best in the league. I will remain optimistic till we are officially out.

God god... What was the latest news on him again? I wish only the best for this kid but it's just frustrating year after year he just can't get healthy.
Thu May 17, 2012 6:47 pm
It'd be a low risk move, no worse than signing Curry for a season. If he can ever get healthy then it could be a solid move. It's a very big if, however.

Miami Heat fans, can anyone tell me dafuq is wrong with D-Wade these last 2 games? Why did he lash out twice?
