It's generated rookies. Seeing as as of now we have the best chances for the No.1 pick, it should be someone great.

I will explore my options when they come, but I'll let you guys know that a big roster move is coming up soon

DeMar DeRozan invited to the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge

Image

DeRozan is having a solid rookie season (the season right now is 2009-2010) for Toronto. He's averaging 10.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, and 1.0 SPG in 50 starts for the club.

Image
NBA All-Star teams announced: 4 from LA, Miami's big three in

The starters include:
West - C: Andrew Bogut (GS), PF: LaMarcus Aldridge (POR), SF: Kevin Durant (OKC), SG: Kobe Bryant (LAL), PG: Steve Nash (PHX)
East - C: Al Horford (ATL), PF: Antawn Jamison (CLE), SF: LeBron James (MIA), SG: Dwyane Wade (MIA), PG: Rajon Rondo (BOS)

Reserves:
West - C: Andrew Bynum (LAL), PF: Blake Griffin (LAC), SF: Andrei Kirilenko (UTA), SG: Vince Carter (DAL), PG: Devin Harris (UTA), PG: Chris Paul (LAC), PG: Andre Miller (DEN)
East - C: Dwight Howard (ORL), PF: Chris Bosh (MIA), SF: Carmelo Anthony (NYK), SG: Ben Gordon (DET), PG: Deron Williams (NJN), SF: Hedo Turkoglu (ORL), SF: Danny Granger (IND)

Some of the bigger surprises include Al Horford getting voted in over Dwight Howard, the veteran Antawn Jamison getting voted for a start, and other vets Andrei Kirilenko, Vince Carter, and Andre Miller making the cut for the West bench.

Iguodala centerpiece in three-team blockbuster deal on deadline day

Image Image Image

Trade details by team:

TOR receives
- SF/SG Andre Iguodala
- C Hasheem Thabeet
- SF Sam Young

PHI receives
- SG Jamaal Crawford
- PG Jose Calderon
- SG Wesley Matthews

POR receives
- SG DeMar DeRozan
- SF/PF James Johnson
- PG Ben Uzoh
- TOR Current 2nd round pick

Iggy was having a breakout year for the Sixers, averaging 17.7 PPG (remember 7 min sim quarters at this point), 2.8 APG, 1.9 RPG, and 1.4 SPG. Philly could afford a trade since they are two spots out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference.

Dallas makes shocking statement, sends Nowitzki a mile-high

Image

On a quiet trade deadline, this story was enough to surprise not only the NBA, but also the world. After PF Dirk Nowitzki wasn't selected to the Western Conference All-Stars, but still having a fairly decent season, the Mavs have sent him packing to the Denver Nuggets for PG Andre Miller, who was in turn an All-Star this season. It is said that Nowitzki had been verbally upset with coach Rick Carlisle and owner Mark Cuban on many occasions throughout the season, and Dallas sent him to one of the more worse teams in the West. The Nuggets are 23-30 on the season, and out of the playoffs at this point.

 In the games I've simmed up to this point from the previous game played we went 3-11. Really no point in giving the score of every game as we're the worst team in the leauge sitting at 12-41. Following us is Washington who has 17 wins. Once I'm a winning season I'll go back to giving the scores of every simmed game probably.

lol I know, but I think that I got more than enough in return  Thabeet's size is a great asset in this game, and at his rating (63) he was fairly easy to acquire.

Good effort by Raps in Iggy's debut, but late dagger buries them in Jersey

Andres Nocioni came up big with incredible fadeaway with about 20 seconds remaining. Andre Iguodala drove to the rim and got fouled (no and-one) for Toronto's final possession, but only made 1-2 free throws and New Jersey dribbled out the clock to end the game.

I think Iguodala can do much for you. Funny to see Thabeet in your team, he seems to be a admired trading object in here.

The Nowitzki trade is a bit strange and hard to believe, but it will be interesting to see if he can do something in Denver.

Well, I guess you had to do what is best for you. Iguodala is a perfect guy to build around though.

If I remember I'll try to keep a close eye on the Nowitzki situation. And with a potential No.1 overall pick in the draft, whether post or wing, I think that's where Iguodala will be best. Setting him up and contributing a little on offense; he's a really good passer.

Yup (Y) As I said to Radioman, pair Iggy with another star and they'll be deadly. Bargs could even turn into that star

2010 NBA Draft Lottery: As projected, the Toronto Raptors land the #1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. Milwaukee will pick second, Minnesota third.

Resigned Players
- Raptors bring back vet Jamaal Magloire for a 2 year, $3.84M contract
- JJ Barea will return to Toronto for 4 years, $20.30M
- Solomon Alabi in for another year with Raps for $711K

Raptors trade out of the first pick, say it's not a fit for them

With projected #1 overall pick being an undersized power forward and the next 4 picks most likely being all centers, the Toronto Raptors have traded with the Houston Rockets down to the sixth pick in the draft with their first pick. The deal also involves the Raptors also swapping Aaron Gray for Samuel Dalembert from Houston. Toronto is looking to select a shooting guard with the 6th pick sources say.

Image
Draft Results
The Toronto Raptors selected SG Carl Grant with the 6th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. His NBA comparison is Wally Szczerbiak.

:!: Wtf Grant was #6 on the Best Available list and he's only a 51 overall?!?! In the draft interface they give you no ratings and none of the best available players were even taken when it came to my pick; it could be glitched.

Image Image
Tornto sends 6th pick Grant, Kapono packing for Quentin Richardson
On August 14, 2010 the Toronto Raptors traded Carl Grant and Jason Kapono to the Orlando Magic for Quentin Richardson. Grant, having played overseas ball for the past 2 seasons, could not reach a buyout agreement with his team, Olympiakos Piraeus. Piraeus said that there is a 90% chance that Carl Grant will never play in the NBA at all. Bad news for Raptors fans.

Nice trades for both trades that you did. I like Crawford and Richardson coming off the bench. Richardson is a decent three point shooter, and Crawford is always a threat from downtown. Crawford and Iguodala are nice passers to. I'm glad that you decided to get Maglouire back, i think he'll be nice for rebounding. I'm glad there's still some people doing nba live.

Crawford? You mean Jamaal? I don't have him but yea I have a plan in the works that will bring Quentin off the bench and Iggy is a terrific passer (Y) Thanks for the comment man and if you could unquote the whole thing that would be nice. Kinda ruins it having the same post twice in a row

Postby cavs4872 on Sun May 06, 2012 4:47 am

I got screwed indeed. I would have saved it before the draft but you can't save during the offseason, and I also wanted to workout the prospects which you can do but you can't save it and it was like midnight so i just simmed through that. The draft interface in this game is absolutely terrible and most of the high prospects were either undersized or oversized for their position. In the interface they had the 'best available' and by the time my pick came around none of them even got drafted so I don't understand it. I'll probably do a test dynasty just to sim to the draft and try to figure it out.

But Dalembert's a 78 overall. Maybe close to as high an overall as the player I would've gotten at 1 so it could have been worse. And Q-Rich is a 72 so it was good dumping Kapono (65), who the CPU won't even play even though I have him in the rotation, for him.

The #1 pick by Houston was a 73 overall center and Dalembert's a 78 and 9 years pro at this point so not too bad. (Y)

Raptors make up for miss-draft of Grant, acquire Nick Young from LAC

Image

Nick Young is a flashy scoring guard who can fill it up with the best. He was in Mike Dunleavy's doghouse and demanded a trade after the emergence of Jordan Farmar in the starting lineup and already playing behind Chauncey Billups, Mo Williams, and Ryan Gomes off the bench. Toronto will send their 2011 1st round draft pick and SF Sam Young to the Clippers. Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo had this to say to the press: "We are very ecstatic about Nick coming town, but after this move don't look for anymore trades anytime soon. We need to give this team some time to let them gel and blend. We feel the roster we have right now is talented enough to be playoff contender and take us deep."

Yea Iggy can distribute to Young who's a pure scorer... I wish I could save replays. I played the first game of the season and Nick had this crazy fadeaway to beat the second quarter buzzer. It bounced off the top of the backboard and went in. I wish they put his fro in the video games; they don't even have it in 2k12 (N)
