Iggy was having a breakout year for the Sixers, averaging 17.7 PPG (remember 7 min sim quarters at this point), 2.8 APG, 1.9 RPG, and 1.4 SPG. Philly could afford a trade since they are two spots out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference.
Dallas makes shocking statement, sends Nowitzki a mile-high
On a quiet trade deadline, this story was enough to surprise not only the NBA, but also the world. After PF Dirk Nowitzki wasn't selected to the Western Conference All-Stars, but still having a fairly decent season, the Mavs have sent him packing to the Denver Nuggets for PG Andre Miller, who was in turn an All-Star this season. It is said that Nowitzki had been verbally upset with coach Rick Carlisle and owner Mark Cuban on many occasions throughout the season, and Dallas sent him to one of the more worse teams in the West. The Nuggets are 23-30 on the season, and out of the playoffs at this point.

The Nowitzki trade is a bit strange and hard to believe, but it will be interesting to see if he can do something in Denver.

Well, I guess you had to do what is best for you. Iguodala is a perfect guy to build around though.

Raptors trade out of the first pick, say it's not a fit for them
With projected #1 overall pick being an undersized power forward and the next 4 picks most likely being all centers, the Toronto Raptors have traded with the Houston Rockets down to the sixth pick in the draft with their first pick. The deal also involves the Raptors also swapping Aaron Gray for Samuel Dalembert from Houston. Toronto is looking to select a shooting guard with the 6th pick sources say.
Draft Results
The Toronto Raptors selected SG Carl Grant with the 6th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. His NBA comparison is Wally Szczerbiak.
Wtf Grant was #6 on the Best Available list and he's only a 51 overall?!?! In the draft interface they give you no ratings and none of the best available players were even taken when it came to my pick; it could be glitched.

Tornto sends 6th pick Grant, Kapono packing for Quentin Richardson
On August 14, 2010 the Toronto Raptors traded Carl Grant and Jason Kapono to the Orlando Magic for Quentin Richardson. Grant, having played overseas ball for the past 2 seasons, could not reach a buyout agreement with his team, Olympiakos Piraeus. Piraeus said that there is a 90% chance that Carl Grant will never play in the NBA at all. Bad news for Raptors fans.
Raptors make up for miss-draft of Grant, acquire Nick Young from LAC
Nick Young is a flashy scoring guard who can fill it up with the best. He was in Mike Dunleavy's doghouse and demanded a trade after the emergence of Jordan Farmar in the starting lineup and already playing behind Chauncey Billups, Mo Williams, and Ryan Gomes off the bench. Toronto will send their 2011 1st round draft pick and SF Sam Young to the Clippers. Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo had this to say to the press: "We are very ecstatic about Nick coming town, but after this move don't look for anymore trades anytime soon. We need to give this team some time to let them gel and blend. We feel the roster we have right now is talented enough to be playoff contender and take us deep."
