Hey, guys!

Sorry for not posting for quite a time: i'd been busy with my school, then we got several IRL problems here...

Anyway, i'm here to write, that i'm still alive :) , processing the orders in the normal state and finishing the XBox 360 Tables. The exact release date will depend on how quickly the IRL problems are sorted out, but the next version is getting into Beta stage today or tomorrow.
There will also be several bugs fixed and a couple of minor (major for someone) improvements included. I have also a 75%-finished neat surprise for you, but programming has really been moved out of my top priorities for an uncertain period of time (i don't say, the period will last for months, but still at least a couple of weeks). So, after finishing the 360 Tables and releasing the next version i will probably take some rest from developing REDitor. Anyway, when i'm back into it, Team Stats and Draft Class editing are the top things in the To-Do list.

So, just wish me good luck and expect the new version to come first half of April. ;)

Best wishes,
Vlad

@Vlad: Wish you all the best!

@ the shoe guys: It is so easy. When you want to change the shoes of someone in a savegame file, do the following:
1. Start NBA 2k12
2. Edit the player in your normal roster so he wears the shoes you want
3. Save the roster in an extra file
4. open Reditor
5. open your savegame file
6. open the new roster file
6. copy the fields with the shoe data from the roster file to the savegame file.
7. Save the savegame file
8. Play the savegame with new shoes

Vlad did finding team colors for 2K12 make you think it's possible for 2K11? I'm still a bit optimistic :|

Vlad, I had a Developer version of your Reditor. I recently upgraded it to v 3.1.1 and I encounter this problem: It won't let me do things I used to do anymore, things like editing shorts lengths, body types, etc. I requested for a new key and thankfully I got it a day after, but still the program is telling me it's a free version and I don't know what to do with it anymore. Damn if I only knew this would be a problem for me, I shouldnt have upgraded it in the first place.

What does this mean? Do I have to pay another $13 again to make it work normally like before? Need ya help.

Yes, it is possible, but, as i've said, i don't have enough time, so, sorry, but i'm done with 2K11.

Please, write me to REDitor@ya.ru , so we will solve the issue.
Also, please, make sure, you: 1) copy-paste the whole and exact name and key; 2) use the key on the same PC, the new key request was sent from.

Hello.

I read the readme and tutorials and searched the topiscs but i am still not sure if this tool or any tool can do what i would like to.
Is it possible to edit player stats (ppg, rpg, apg etc) in a running association. For example if i would like to implement real NBA stats into my Association. Can i do it with any of the Reditor versions? If yes which one and is there a tutorial for it?
Or is there any other tool like NBA stats tracker taht could do that?it would be a great feature.

Thank you for this tool and especially the wonderful music. It made me listen to altai msuic for hours.Greetings from polish tartars.

Hey vlad, is there any possibility of REDitor, in the present or in the future, being able to edit the "player progression" file?

I'm not sure what that file does exactly, but if it can allow one to tweak the way in which players develop in association mode (i.e. edit which attributes develop faster/slower than others etc) then that would be totally amazing. It would improve the association mode experience completely, and would come in handy to package with the fictional draft class patches i've been making. What do you think? Is it possible? :o

Im new to reditor. The tutorial has been a great guide in getting me started in the right direction but it also has me wondering about the possibilities.

How would I take 30 some odd CAPs from one roster and add them to another? Are there Limits to how many players can fit on one roster?

ps I can't believe all the stuff they've withheld from CAP makers (hot zones for example).

I'm using the latest version, free edition.

I open a roster file, select all the rows I want to copy under the players tab, right click, copy, then open the roster file I want to copy them to, paste them, I SEE THEY CHANGED, click save, but they just wont save. I try opening the roster file again and no changes were saved.

What am I doing wrong? is this a limitation of the free version? I was under the impression I could do this for the players tab.

EDIT: update Tried again, but this time instead of pasting multiple rows that included the players names and Id's, I just pasted a smaller amount of rows with only the stats and made them match and this time it worked, so nevermind.

Using the latest version, free edition too.
Situation: last roster by Albys, i see that in D-league no real players, go to Reditor and exchange column values: isFa, TeamID1, TeamID2, MinsAsg between Michael Gooding(D-league player) and Willie Warren(free agent), but nothing is happened, what's wrong?

TeamID only changes the logos in the background of player portraits. To assign players to different teams you need a paid version that can edit the teams tab.

To do it in the free version, change the isFA to 0 and make sure the player type is 4. Then go in game and assign him to the team you want.

You need a paid version to do that, check the first page carefully.

Vl@d Zola Jr. Hi, i want to ask, is this would be possible in the future, that then we play an All Star game, players could be used their teams jerseys, like it happened in 1996-97 season on the All Star game, when Jordan played that game with his team Bulls jerseys, Penny played with his Magic jerseys, Olajuwon played with his Rockets jerseys, Payton played with his SuperSonics jerseys and etc.?

i know this is directed to vlad but there is no way since the game is built to handle that set up like how it was on live....

ok some good news for some of you. With working on the 360 Beta tables of REDitor. I have found how to change the skin tone players with black arms. I know on the pc there are mods for this , but not all players have been corrected. So all you have to do is change the port id to 2203 and change the player type to existing cap. And change the skin tone to what ever it is that is need. The only draw back player will have no in game port. Thought you and other might be interested for the black arm player who havent gotten a update.

Vlad have you ever been able to figure out/solve the problem of created teams playing over 82 games? Its annoying to see a team have like a 140 games played. Hopefully you can make the max games in a season for created teams 82... as they should be... with the regular NBA teams.

Yes, possible. You need Guru license, then edit Player_Stats tab. Anyway, i think, we talked about this via E-Mail. ;)
Glad, you liked the music! :)

Yes, maybe in future there will be such a possibility. Although the file actually stores the info, which can be viewed in some in-game window; it represents, how players' attributes were changing from through the official updated rosters.

How would I take 30 some odd CAPs from one roster and add them to another? Are there Limits to how many players can fit on one roster?

Copy-paste is the only thing. You can clone some CAPs on the destination roster before doing that to not overwrite any existing players.
Yes, the file size can't be changed, so there are limits. But removing several jerseys will free up some space for several new players. So, there is some fixed limit, but roster space can be redistributed between its parts (unfortuantely, the calculation of the exact amount of available free space isn't implemented into REDitor yet).

Well... there is always a slight hope, but definitely can not be done via roster-editing.

To be honest, i've never played any Association that far. Doesn't turning CAT team into a regular one solve the problem?
I will take a look on some stuff in summer, which can be possibly related to the issue. But that's in summer...

===============================

The final Beta for the next public version has been built. So, expect the public release to happen some time the upcoming week, if everything goes fine IRL for me and my loved ones.

Best wishes,
Vlad

Vlad when copying a created cyberface over a generic player... say for example I want a CAP to overwrite a william jones player... you change genericF between 0 to 1... however I'm confused as how to locate/identify a player in the headshapes tab. Thanks for explanation/clarification
