Says a lot when you can make a case that Mahinmi or Marion is the second best player on the team. Odom coming off one of the most impressive seasons in his career, he certainly took a dive in his performance. Overall supposed replacement pieces for Chandler never really showed up so far including Carter.

It took them long enough.17 straight losses in a span of ten years of losing to the Spurs in San Antonio.

But i have to admit that i was really impressed with Mo Williams. And i continue to not be impressed by Blake.Does that dude ever play defense?

Three games went in overtime today, double OT in Memphis with the Grizzlies and the Lakers. Also, brother vs brother.

San Antonio @ Oklahoma City:

That was a very good game.I really want to see these two in a playoff series.

And Ibaka had his hand on the ball.

Gotta hand it to Oklahoma City for actually making it a game. Certainly a potential Western Conference Finals matchup there.

Really great seeing Redd play like this, if the Suns can sneak into the Playoffs, he'll be a great weapon.

That's why the Rockets lost.

Kobe hit some big shots today, but 10-27 is still pretty shit. I'll be interested to see how the Lakers play against the Mavs.

Bizarre moment at the end of the Knicks/Sixers game. Sixers had cut it to three with 3.8 seconds remaining and had a timeout left, yet they let the Knicks inbound and run out the clock. Doug Collins didn't look too thrilled.

Not sure if a flop or not. I'd say a bit of overacting.

He was basically in the process of leaving his feet as well.

It only looks like a flop because he ditched the ball to save his face.

There's a 10-page (and counting) thread on realgm full of idiots who are straight up calling it a flop. There was a little overreaction there by Blake (if any at all), but it's reasonable and anyone who says Jason Smith didn't flagrantly foul Griffin is in denial.

I'll look for video, but from that GIF I see Blake about to take off and just as he does he's checked by Smith and then realizes he has to get rid of the ball or he'll go face first onto the court.

EDIT: Vidja:

No matter which player commits such a foul to whoever, this is just disgusting.

Even more disgusting when former players like Jalen Rose supports such kind of "basketball" on TV broadcasts...

I was actually. Sarcasm doesn't always translate on the internet though unfortunately.

It looked to be a clear shoulder charge, but I don't think he should have gotten ejected. It seemed like one of those split second decisions players make, like when they stick a foot out to block a pass. Maybe it was partly just an instinctual reaction. He seemed pretty embarrassed about it after the game.

A flop? Seriously? I know it's now more fashionable to dislike Griffin but come on, that's a pretty hard hit.

Jalen Rose is not to be taken seriously.

Difference is Smith wasn't going for the ball. He deserved to be ejected.

I meant it was a split second instinct based decision to do it. It's not like he planned it when he was still in his own half.
I'm not defending him btw. It was a stupid thing to do and he has to accept his punishment.

On another note, crazy double overtime game in OKC. Love 51p-14r, Westbrook 45p, Durant 40p-17r, Barea 25p-10r-14a. :applaud:

I'd give Smith the benefit of the doubt there as far as having malicious intentions, but it was a reckless hit so the suspension is tough but fair in my opinion.

Definitely a wild one between the Timberwolves and Thunder. I've have preferred it to Blazers/Lakers, though that one did turn out to be pretty good to watch.

I chose to watch SAS vs DAL game over OKC vs MIN and I really shouldn't have. :shake: Triple double by Barea, 51pts-14reb by Love, 40pts-17reb by Durant, 45pts by Westbrook, and all those clutch shots. I missed probably the game of the season.

Phil89 wrote:He seemed pretty embarrassed about it after the game.

Lolz. His action spoke differently on the court though. When he was heading to the locker room, he looked to be rather proud. Cheering and high fiving the fan.
Just a stupid decision to foul someone that hard no matter the situation. A dick move. You just don't rush into somebody in a motion like that. That could have really hurt Griffin, seriously. Ejection + Suspension + Fine, all sounds fair to me.
