I've found that to be the case before, even with certain Simpsons episodes in recent years. They're a little better the second time around; perhaps I'm watching with a less critical eye or I've already accepted the episode for what it is, so I notice a few things I may have missed the first time around.

Disregard, game already being discussed in its own thread in video game section. Looks good.

After a South Park citizen meets with an unfortunate accident, the TSA steps in to prevent it from happening again in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "Reverse Cowgirl," premiering Wednesday, March 14 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL.

One of the boys had been told time and time again about leaving the toilet seat up after he goes to the bathroom, but he didnt listen. His actions have consequences and ultimately result in an unimaginable catastrophe.

Guessing the kid is Butters. Loo loo loo

As I've mentioned in previous updates, I haven't been quite as high up on South Park in recent years, feeling the show has started to show its age a bit. However, I thought the season 16 premiere was great; good plot, good jokes, very funny and entertaining throughout. Hope the rest of the season is up to that standard. (Y)

I liked it too, pretty brilliant stuff. And Randy Marsh was epic as usual.

parts of it were alright but i really dont like when family drama/anguish (even if it was used as a huge joke to start the show) becomes a comedic plot device. Did enjoy the TSA/Seat belts and the final result where butters was proven right

They can do better from me. I did watch it in a terrible mood though.

Recent episode was alright, many people seemed to like the song but it went on too long in my opinion. We get the point

I'd have to agree there, as far as overly long jokes go it's far from the worst but it dragged on a little bit longer than it needed to. I wouldn't say it was an uproariously funny episode but it was still pretty good.

It was a montage...

Might have written the episode to where it's just all about Cartman pulling the scam, but of course that's overdone too and what can you do...was an odd bait and switch with the Cash 4 Gold start. Thought they were going that route instead of doing "elderly home shopping" which probably mashed up two separate plots I would have done as one each.

But then you guys know me as the edgy satirist of all of lifes' oddities.

I'm actually glad they didn't go all the way down that route as I'm a bit weary of "Cartman pulls a scam" episodes at this point. Having said that, the parts that were about Cartman trying his hand at the scam and his mathematical formula were pretty good.

i'm trying to figure out what happened. the suicide at the end was too much for me. A couple years ago that would have made me piss myself and the having him do it (albeit semioffscreen) seemed too far for me. The first bit with stan made me laugh but the ending i was just like, dont fucking do it guys. I dunno. Maybe im not as dark as I used to be. Or im not feeling the edginess and it feels more forced now. Not sure. Its making me not enjoy the show as much lately.

I wasn't too bothered by it as it didn't really go much further than they have done in the past, but I definitely get where you're coming from.

Agreed, it was on point while being silly in a really good way. For me, Season 16 is off to a really strong start.

I wasn't too thrilled with it for that very reason, as I've said before I feel they've done that stuff to death. It was OK but definitely my least favourite so far, the first one I haven't really enjoyed all that much this year.

"There's two things that seperates Sooper Foods from all the other grocery stores. Fun and safety." is one of the greatest lines in South Park history.

For me these two (memes/jewpacabra) were much better than the first two of the season. Sure the Jew thing's been done before but much like Homer Simpson messing up, its about making it funny not so much they've done it before for me. I mean think how many homer episodes there are in the "golden age" of the simpsons. Doesnt make them any less quality.

It doesn't automatically make it so but for me, they've grown very stale and I didn't feel that this one was any fresher than most. I'd compare the situation to the "marriage crisis" episodes that The Simpsons were doing a lot of around Seasons 15-18, where every episode degenerated into Homer and Marge's marriage being on the rocks, resolved when Homer made some grand and often contrived gesture. It wasn't the best way of handling such a plot in the first place but if nothing else it really got old after a while.

For me, Kyle vs Cartman episodes have become a little like that. They still have good moments, funny lines and whatnot, but as a whole I don't find them as entertaining as I used to. The formula is too familiar, the interaction between the characters too predictable, even Cartman's anti-Semitism has lost its shock value at this point. I just feel that plot has jumped the shark, they've already squeezed the very best out of Kyle/Cartman episodes and now it's just a case of more of the same. I just feel they need to give it a rest or find a way to change it up a bit more.

Except this was more Cartman is a kid and thus doesn't know what he's talking about ala getting his period or pubes so fits everything into his own limited worldview, combined with some Boy Who Cried Wolf instead of the standard CARTMAN IS A NAZI LOL. Cartman rehashing his views on Jews and, more importantly, Kyle is to setup the morality tale to follow.

It wasn't Cartman vs. Kyle except for that setup and Kyle clearly sees it as a Cartman shtick from the start, ignoring it even through to the end of the episode. Cartman wanted Kyle's help as things go haywire and he starts to believe. His hiding in the church was great and an important point. Then Kyle went and rescued Cartman, and now Cartman seemingly believes because of his "vision" until the next episode.

Kyle's more or less irrelevant except for his being the savior and the show's identifiable Jew, it's about Cartman becoming a "born again" Jew due to what he pulled backfiring on him.
