Again, tatlopuyo was just messing around, seeing what works, and just put some random values in to test it. We'll get better results soon, trust me. ;)

Rangez, think of it like how the whole uniform lighting went down. Started with me messing around, then after the tool Leftos made came out we found a really good set of parameters.

I can't wait to get to screw around with this stuff :cool:

QUESTION:

i tried changing the values....black players turn green ingame....what causes that? lighting 1 or 2?

Note to everyone else: In order for the following post to make sense, you need to know that so far we know two lighting parameters that are the same throughout the file, 96 times. Those are in hex "000040BF6666863F". What I'm trying to do is maybe dig up other lighting parameters. First, I'm looking for other pairs of parameters that occur 96 times. Then, I look for the parameters we know in combination with other pairs, and see how many times they appear (that uses the assumption that lighting parameters will be stacked together in each of their occurrences). Using the same assumption, I look for groups of 3 parameters containing the parameters we know.

yeah bro will definitely look for other values that effects the shadows..

heres one..

E4 38 0E 3F 00 00 80 3F this appears 110 times i think in the global..if you change it also effects some kind of reflection to the skin of the players....dont have time right now to play with it though coz im going somewhere..

00 00 80 BF 00 00 00 40 - then that one if you change it..it affects the shine on player faces but only during replays and not in gameplay..will do more researching when i get home from the recording studio..

tatlopuyo, use my Global Editor tool and insert the hex strings you've found in sets of 4 bytes (8 hex characters) to see if they make sense as float values.

For example, the first new string you posted is E4 38 0E 3F 00 00 80 3F. Let's see.
E4380E3F is reported by Global Editor to be 0.5555556.
0000803F is 1.
So yeah, that looks like it could be a set of lighting parameters.

So when you find a hex string that occurs a lot of times and you want to see if it makes any sense, break it up every 8 hex characters, remove the spaces, and put it in a Global Editor box to see what float value it gives you. Also, you can use my Recurring Hex tool which gives you every recurring pattern and the float values it contains, if any.
