Sorry to bother everyone again, but has anyone managed to successfully change an arena's floor ID without losing the shot clock that shows up in the upper middle of the screen in the last 5 seconds?

Hey, guys!

Despite being busy with my school and some health problems, i was finally able to take care of every little aspect, i wanted to improve by this release. So, welcome v. 3.1 :)
You'll find the list of new things and the link to it in the first post.
360 files are on the go. Once they are finished, i'll tell other exact things, which will be included into the next release.

Also, a special action is being held! If you purchase or upgrade to MLB 2K11 PC Tables - GURU before March, 10th, you'll get MyFriend Interfaces for absolutely FREE! So, hurry up to make the editing process even more easy and enjoyable! ;)

Re: [Tool] Roster Editor - REDitor II (Current v. 3.1)

Postby Vl@d Zola Jr. on Sun Feb 26, 2012 5:28 am

questions:

1. how can it be lifelong if i have to buy it again when 2k13 comes out?
2. how come it mentions "while the license is valid" when it doesnt expire (lifelong)?
3. again, if i buy a developer version today, will i have to buy the developer version of the next reditor that comes out for 2k13?

1) 2K11 and 2K12 licenses provide different features. So, if you buy 2K11 license, you will be able to use it in a year, in a decade, etc. But this doesn't mean, it includes 2K12 features set. So, if 2K13 is once supported by RED, no any current package will include advanced editing abilities for it. That's the thing. Different licenses = different feature sets, but each license is lifelong.
2) Just in case, there will be a non-lifelong license type some day.
3) If you wish to edit advanced parameters of 2K13 files, then yes. But even if you won't purchase it, nothing will limit your abilities of 2K12 editing.

@solovoy,

On a journey I had a epiphany.

You must have a $$$ version. I have Free version so row global edits are disallowed :cry:
thats why your script would work on ur not mine Mucho gracias for the effort (Y)

Wrong you are. TURK scripts have nothing in common with licensing, except for changes aren't applied to uneditable grids.
My guess is you simply forgot to save your roster in-game after reseting it.

================================
Guys, sorry for not answering all your Qs. Some were answered via PMs.
I always handle licensing issues asap, and try to answer most questions about how to edit this or that thing, if i know how. But, unfortunately, i don't have enough time to dig in corrupted files... this is very time consuming and the fact is 98% files corruptions take place because of a game bug or an unfortunate misedit. If you are sure, the file had been clean, but after it was saved via REDitor (without any edits made or with only minor edits made), please, send me the file by E-mail with some detailed description and would be better, if you also attach a backed up version of the same file. So i will be able to track a possible bug in the program. Thanks for understanding.

In theory, you can. Using the new UsPshoe field (or something like that) and the PortrID (or the CF_ID, not sure) as the pshoeID. But, I was making some testing and the UsePshoe Field don't work correctly. I send a PM to Vlad to see if he can find the bug.

Hot-fix for pshoe released. See the first post.
It's not necessary, if you don't plan to edit that field, as all the rest work fine with v.3.1

Great. I just tried and it work. Just two things.

In the field, you have to use 0 for yes, and 1 for no. All the player who use a Pshoe must have in the roster 0 and those who don't, 1. It should be in the other way.

And in the tutorial, this what it says:

Defines, if the player uses all-custom shoes, stored in pshoeXXX.iff file, where XXX is the same value as his CF_ID

But, I made some tests, and the XXX is not the same value as his CF_ID, is the same value as his PortrID.

Cheers.

What version should I buy if I want to make/edit draft classes? I want classes without the hot zone bug. Are hot zones editable for prospects in Reditor?

Draft Classes are not editable yet.
Will be included some time in March or early April.

Can we now make the shoes low-cut or high-cut using the new version of REditor?

Associations are editable. You just have to pay for that feature.

Huh? You can assign free agents to any team using REditor, both in Rosters and Career files (Association, MyPlayer, etc).

it tells you when you install it, you choose the directory, but I believe the default is C:\Editing Tools\REDitor II
