Now you know why they compare him to Kobe. Open shot, backs up to the three point line, pulls up, still a foot on the line, airball.

Was the BBVA really considered a serious game? No it wasn't Wall just wanted to do a little somethin for the fans, its All-Star weekend i dont think anyone there wanted to see a game full of serious defense and bad shooting. And Monroe is a bitch for that.

I agree with shadowgrin. They should leave that college ball mentality behind them.If they are "Rising Stars" then they should play like a star.

Good for Monroe.

Sucks to see the players using their team's jerseys again.

I actually thought it was pretty funny when Monroe did that, just a good rib and all in good fun.

Embarrassing performance by Irving in the skills competition... I think he partied to much last night. I picked Parker to win at the beginning but I think Rondo will get it now.

You were right the first time, Parker it is. Williams looked good until the jumpshot in the final round, there goes that pick for me. Ah well, I'm 1/3 so far thanks to Team New York.

Whoa, James Jones really choked in the Finals. Solid three point contest with some good scores throughout, congrats to Love.

Always nice to see the underdog win it. Minnesota will be happy to see a trophy too. :cheeky:

A couple of the dunks so far have been alright, Williams' is probably the best. This format isn't doing the contest any favours though and Kenny Smith is just killing the crowd as the MC. Way too much talking, way too corny.

Looks like another one of my picks is going down in flames, too. I hope Evans brings more than that, his first attempt was alright but nothing special for a contest and the cheesy gimmick added nothing.

I like George, even if he used his hands. Also Budinger over Diddy while it mostly made me laugh, thought it was a good dunk. Williams would've been my favorite, but he took 3 or so tries.

EDIT: Did you see the hang time !?!? Very nice Evans.

Evans second attempt was much better, probably my favourite so far followed by Williams' second attempt. George's second dunk was nice, but the gimmick was beyond cheesy and I couldn't even really see what he did until they went to the replay. Budinger's second attempt was very pedestrian.

Ordinary stuff all around for the third dunk. I'm guessing Paul George will get it at this point. Gimmicks are killing the contest, Kenny Smith isn't helping either.

Hmm... I wanted Paul George, but as Shaq just said, the real dunkers *LeBron* need to stop being lazy and get in this thing like the old days of VC and J-Rich taking these things.

was underwhelmed by most of tonight other than Allan Houston making the big shots and kevin love winning the 3pt contest.

Dunk Contest had WAYYYYY too many celebs. It just needed to stop. I dont have legs and im as tall as kevin hart. Jumping over Karl Malone MIGHT have been impressive.

Glad to see Evans get it, partly because he was my pick and also because I thought his second dunk was the dunk of the night. George's stuff was alright but had either been done before or was a bit too cheesy for my liking.

Overall a subpar contest, even without the star power I was hoping to see some nice attempts but there were really only a couple of noteworthy ones. Pretty much on par with 2010 in my book, the format certainly didn't help and Kenny Smith was annoying. Hats off for the effort and all, but still a letdown in my opinion.

2010 was worse easy for me, but this wasn't amazing at all either.

Yeah, it wasn't quite that bad I guess. Not as good as last year though, even accounting for the lack of stars.

The dunk contest has gotten out of hand. The amateur dunk contest they had earlier today was much more impressive. I understand why they want fan voting but the dunk contest isn't even fun to watch any more.

I find the Ceballos dunk awesome.

If Kevin Hart jumped up as Evans was jumping over him, that would have been cooler.
