I wasn't sold on the yahoo before & after shots of curry but when i saw him in game, i believed the supposed 100 pound weight loss

I still think Eddy Curry looked hungry after he saw the word "fish" on the back of Derek Fisher's jersey.

It's fish, not 'burg'.

Great to see him back, watching the replay and sure, LeBron was a beast, but this win should be credited to Battier with his job on Kobe.

Great job from ringless Heat players like Battier and LeBron, absolutely.

Phillies gave a good fight but I was expecting more with their great record this season. Now 0-6 since Wade's injury.

I'm disappointed with the Canadian education system. Joel thought the largest country (by total area) in the world is China.

But a very nice night for him, 9 and 9 with 3 blocks. During the first quarter, after 2 straight buckets for him, he was given the ball on an iso and he made a nice move on Vucevic, the baby hook just bounced off. But the MVP chants were back. (Y)

A nice read about his improvements on offense :

They kept the game close until Vucevic's injury which left the Sixers with no center at all (well, Tony Battie was there). I still think it would've been a bit of a different story had Hawes been able to play. He's been terrific this season and I had never though I'd say something like this.

Horrible loss. Erratic ball movement all evening long and the lowest scoring game by the Heat this season. Lebron was good but unusual as he failed to make his teammates better. Bosh was the worst with getting owned by Ilyasova. Lackluster effort on both ends. I hope it was due to the fatigue tonight.

As for the Bucks, their defense really looked good. Playing zone and great switches on Lebron for most of night. Jennings also did a superb job with his quick feet disrupting the Heat's defense.

Seems to me the Bucks always brings their A game against the Heat. Great game by Bron but still wasn't enough. :shake:

I'm glad Jennings had such a nice game, too bad it came at the HEAT's expense.

Heat enjoying Knicks' Lin-sanity from the shadows
For the first time since LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh signed on to play together in July 2010, the Heat have been pushed out of the NBA spotlight.

"It's not even just us," Wade said after Thursday's practice at Quicken Loans Arena, in advance of Friday's game there against the Cleveland Cavaliers. "Everyone is slipping under the radar."
Wade said he was amused that even with the San Antonio Spurs in the midst of a nine-game winning streak, Tony Parker's 34-point, 14-assist game Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors was lost in the Lin-sanity.

Linsanity is somewhat helping the trio at the moment. Totally stole the spotlight.

Heat vs Knicks next Thursday, last game before the All-Star. I hope both teams stay hot untill then for the great show.

This just is surreal as a Miami fan. Is this how the Lakers fans felt back in Shaq's dynasty days? Just incredible feelings as a diehard Heat fan. I can't believe just couple years ago JO was our second best player. And now we are just dominating the entire league like you've never seen before. I hope I am not jinxing anything. Anyways this by far has been the best damn season ever for the Heat fans.

05-06 was pretty damn good also.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

05-06 season ending was sweet but the process wasn't. Shaq didn't realize that he needed Wade to be the man on the team untill later in the season. Till then, I was bit frustrated with trial and error process.

I just hope they don't sign Kaman, but i think that rumor is gone? - He could be the second german to win a NBA Championship.

Not gonna happen. I read about that rumour but that was quickly dismissed. Could have been nice if we could have upgraded at C though.

That team would have been swept had the series not been clearly rigged.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Thu Feb 23, 2012 9:52 am

The 2006 series wasn't rigged. The Heat ultimately did a better job of working the system, while the Mavs made their share of blunders.

Probably, but I wouldn't have 9000 posts (!) if I didn't troll the Heat thread occasionally.

Nothing better than celebratingor wasting your milestone in a Heat thread. Grats. (B)

Miami Heat is the best team in the NBA. But they know -- especially LeBron -- that all this regular season stuff wont matter if they don't deliver in the playoffs. Judgement day is in June for LeBron. That's how high his standards are.

Was expecting Haslem to start and get 30+ minutes, but it wasn't needed. 11 an 14 off the bench. (Y)

Re: Miami Heat Thread

bigger choke job- Wade missing the FT or James pass to haslem in the closing seconds??

there was still time for James to take another dribble toward the basket or even towards the sideline off that pick and roll. the Jazz didn't trap hard off the pick.

if the play was pre determined for James to pass to Haslem then coach SPo is a fool.
