Trailblazers...again...

Sat Dec 21, 2002 6:58 pm

Only this time, the Blazers kept their troubles on the court...
Melee occurs after Wallace's shot sinks Warriors

Despite all of their problems, on and off the court, they're 14-11, sixth in the West, and will probably make the playoffs as usual. But as usual, I don't think they'll quite make anyone's "Top 5 Contenders" lists.

Some more: Blazers not apologizing, Mills reportedly blocked bus

Mills reportedly tried to get into the Blazers' locker room but was restrained.

Later, as the Blazers' bus tried to leave the arena, Mills parked his car in front of it, got out with several friends and challenged the Blazers, The Oregonian newspaper reported. The bus wasn't able to leave until Oakland police arrived to provide an escort.

What Mills did was outrageous. What was he going to do, take on the whole Blazer team? How did all this mess start, anyway?

it was reported Mills was not alone, he had his crew with him and he challenged all the blazers to a fight after their end of game incident where Bonzi Wells accidently ran into mills. Mills then shoved Wells once, then a second time before bonzi retalited. On the Blazers team bus some players where afraid of more serious things than a simple street fight. Damon Stoudemire was afraid that Mills was in possesionv of a gun and could fire at any time. And in all this it is ironic that the blazers mostly avoided confrontations, Something in which their reputation doesn't go along with

This is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. I think Mills crossed the line.

Did you guys see the footage? mills was holding bonzi in the first place, and talking shit. mills then starts pushing, then as the article said Troy Murphy jumps in with fists blazing...

This is not about portland at all (well it shouldn't be anyway)... it was the warriors who started (and continued) the trouble...

this is bad sportsmanship at it's worst. I don't care if you lost a game, you don't call ur homies and do what mills did. he over reacted big time.

It's more the fact that once again trouble is following the Trailblazers, whether they are at fault or not.

Thu Dec 26, 2002 11:52 am

ohhh... sorry misread it completely...

sure yeah... blazers bad boys for sure... lol BAD TO THE BONE!!!!

BAD!

even though they're not at fault....

Yes, the Blazers just seem to attract trouble like a magnet...a shame, because they have a great team on paper, but all these distractions take their toll on the team. Combined with the task of keeping such a stacked roster under control ego-wise, it's the volatile team chemistry that's keeping Portland from advancing deep into the playoffs.

Mills sure has a lot of PUNK in him, doesn't he? He has a beef with Wells, so he gets his crew. Pure ghetto s**t.

I'm so proud of my Warriors...
