Former NBA player Cedric Ceballos hospitalized

I'm guessing X may be the only other person interested in this, but Cedric Ceballos was hospitalised after "a series of small heart attacks."

Former NBA All-Star Cedric Ceballos has been hospitalized after what his publicist called “a series of small heart attacks.”

Publicist Crystal Guy says Ceballos was scheduled to undergo surgery in Phoenix.

Ceballos averaged 21.3 points per game in 11 NBA seasons. In recent years, he served as the on-court master of ceremonies at Phoenix Suns home games.

The 42-year-old Ceballos issued a statement saying how fortunate he was to have decided to have his symptoms checked out at a hospital on Sunday. Ceballos thanked all who called in support but the family asked for privacy at this time.

Considering some of the other former professional athletes including former NBA players who have died young due to heart problems, perhaps this is a blessing in disguise and he can receive the treatment he needs. Here's hoping he doesn't become another sad story.

And on a happier note, some Ceballos videos from back in the day:

Aw that's terrible. I really like Cedric Ceballos as well. I always thought he was one of the more underrated players in the league during his career. Hope he can recover from this.

Sucks about the heart attacks, but hopefully he can get his health under control & live a long & fruitful life.

Aside from that, thanks for that last video, I hadn't seen it (Y) Whether or not the jet ski incident happened, they would've traded him for Horry that season, I truly believe that. Once Shaq arrived, Lakers went from a fun, exciting team to watch to a bore. I've had no interest in Lakers since they traded Ced, outside of interest in a few of players they had, like Eddie Jones for example.

Come now, have you seen Marty Conlon's PER? Particularly his 1998/1999 season?

It's like golf, right? Lower numbers are better? :P

PER is for pussies... just ask Allen Iverson

Edit: Scrap that, I just saw that he's number 47 on the all-time leaders list

Check out Conlon's awesome win share numbers, too. To put it in perspective, his PER, win shares, true shooting percentage and effective field goal percentage put Adam Morrison to shame.
