I don't know if anyone's mentioned this before, but I found out something cool when fooling around in practice mode just now.
When I played NBA 2k11, the Cross Spin gather was my favorite gather because I could combo that from spin move #5 and get an open jumper every time.
So I was surprised when I found out that apparently the cross spin from NBA 2k11 is still here in NBA 2k12, and now they're isomotion moves! The only thing you have to do is do a spin move, but from the
opposite hand (
non ball-hand). Example: when you're dribbling forward with your
right hand, hold LT( in xbox 360 controller) and do a half circle motion with the left analog stick from
left to
right instead of the other way around like you would a regular spin move. Your guy will do a quick cross that transitions smoothly into your spin move.

The animation varies depending on the spin move he has. For the NBA 2k11's Cross Spin exact animation, that's triggered by, incidentally, spin move #5. But other spin moves have their own cross-spin animations, with #6 being the nicest IMO

This move is great when you're iso'd on offense, since it's quick and pretty deceptive. Try it out for yourself.
