Then there should be no reason you don't like Saints Row 2. It's better than all the GTA's.

Can you explain why you think that? What does it improve on or do better than gta? Is it more or less a clone that doesn't like certain ways gta does things and changes them?
Edit - this has some good arguments -

If I can find it used for the 360, il try it. I read performance horror stories on the pc even with beastly machines. That is probably why it looked horrible when I tried it, ask the graphics were turned down.

If you go from GTA: SA (well, any old GTA) to Saints Row, you'll have no issues with the handling......but if you go from GTA IV's realistic boats, issues abound

Benji,
Do you know if Saints Row 2 is worth buying on PC?

The PC port is pretty crappy because it got outsourced to some Eastern European company that disappeared into the night after one and a half patches, however if you have a good PC you can make up for many of its flaws and it will run better at much higher settings than the console version. It's somewhat like the GTA IV port in that regard, console version doesn't run at a stable framerate, is below 30fps and is on low settings but we PC gamers expect more so when the PC port has similar issues despite 1080p and high settings we lash out. Other than performance issues it's actually well done, has full 360 pad support, despite using GameSpy I've never had any issues with the co-op play, it has tons of graphic options, it does a streamlined intro after you run it once. I played it through one and three quarter times with a C2D+8800GT at 1080p, just shy of maxed out (there is one graphic option that is almost not visible while you're playing but it takes away like 10fps) at around 25-30fps and I had no real problems playing it that way. Other people have had far worse experiences with it however.
You can get new copies of the PC version for anywhere from $5-15, it looks like new 360 copies are around $10-20, though of course you can buy used for the 360. All PC versions register with and require Steam, so you want a new copy.
One last thing to consider is that like many ports that were releasing during the dark ages of this console era (2008-2009), the PC version did not get any of the DLC. So if you want those extra missions and such, console is the way to go.
Thankfully things have changed and Volition is doing the SR3 port entirely in house (as they did Armageddon which was apparently a fantastic port) and we'll get all the DLC.

Thanks for the info man.
How much FPS would you say this would get me on Saints Row 2?
AMD Phenom II x6 1045t
ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB
Ram: 6GB
thanks
EDIT: Well, you know what....I just bought GTA 4 for $6.79 on Steam. it was about time. i may not get smoothest framerates on Max settings but Im ready to play that game about now after such a long time.

That's a good system, it should run pretty well on that, far better than any of the console versions.
There is a slight stutter every so often, like in 2K, that's unavoidable because of the way it streams in data, you'll notice it when you move into the newest "chunk" but it's not a killer issue or anything.

Im not sure if your only replying to my Saints Row question or including GTA 4 as well but I just looked up online and I saw that Console versions of GTA 4 were around 30-33 FPS. So I wont feel that bad if I get around 30-45 FPS on my PC as ive seen other's videos on youtube with same card.

Yeah, the console version of gta4 had this motion blur to fake 60 fps or something.

As long as there are no more than 5 or 6 games reported as missing (you can send them back at any time, and they'll report them as returned) at any given time, I can just get the $16 a month one game plan, then either report a game as missing and have them send me another one while keeping the one I have. I could also rent say, Arkham City, then report it as "I received the wrong game", then send back Twisted Metal III or something. The best part is that it doesn't count as missing on your account. Right now, I have 2K11, 2K12, Fallout New Vegas, 4za and COD: MW2 (which my friend has been borrowing for almost two years now) out.
For under $200 a year (the price of three new full-priced console games today), I can pretty much have whatever game I want. And since they opened up a shipping center in Seattle, they only take a day to arrive now.
They closed my account twice when I was pushing it like this, but both times I just sent all the games back at once and they let me resume my account, accumulated rewards and all.
Shhh.

You're doing that and you have the balls to make a thread about how corporations are raping people. What you're doing is essentially no different from what those corporations are doing, taking advantage of the system for you own gain.
If you invite some hobos to your house so they share in the playtime of the games you acquired then it can be considered a 'Robin Hood act', but it's not. Shame on you Lamrock.
