Ur point? I never made any statement about him not being able to start at age of 39 or 40. Perhaps he can, for several teams even, but I doubt he could make an impact close to his now a days. Look at my initial comment which led to a discussion with Andrew. 2 or 3 good years on him. Rest, not sure at age of 39 or 40? Sure he could be making good contribution but praises you just gave? I will take the Crazy Shit back but you get the Cock Sucker tag. Keep that on now.

And again, you misinterpreted my post. I was doubting his wills to win a ring for the minimum salaray while taking significant risk like Bibby did. I don't see him as money first guy though I think it should play a factor as he's never been overpaid before but underpaid by margin.

If you're saying he can start over their current starters, obviously he would make a positive impact. Its not like he's a black hole or something. All we can do is wait and see: but barring injury, i think Nash could be just as productive at 41 as he is now because of the style of player he is and how seriously he takes off the court things like diet. Every year people expect regression from him and really it hasnt happened in any significant way yet.

all i did is say you were wrong. I never once stooped to name calling. You tend to get bent out of shape when someone disagrees with you and jump to the "you are full of shits." Most people arent just making up the shit they say...well ok some may be, but i'm not one of them.

I absolutely agree with you here. He'll retire ringless rather than do that, but it has nothing to do with money. Its about loyalty. Despite phoenix fucking his team repeatedly, he has always told them he wants to stay there no matter what. If thats still true after last season? i doubt he's going anywhere unless the suns just choose to not re-sign him when he's an FA. He's got more than enough money to take care of his family, why whore your self for more?

Agreeing with Oz. Nash has never been the fastest on the court, i don't really see him regressing even more athletic-wise. Pretty sure he could still dish out at least 10 APG at 40yrs old. Especially with a contender team, he now gets 10 assists with a bunch of scrubs.

I actually beg to differ on him not regressing at all. Nash was still pretty good last season but definitely has been regressing since age of 32. This year he's 37. I still expect him to be one of better guards this season due to his ethics and conditioning and perhaps will have another respectable season. But I don't see him defying nature at age of 39 or 40 old like some of you believe here. Nobody did that.

Dude, I refuse to make my countryman look bad anymore. Also a locality...

But I also believe 2 or 3 years he can stay a great guard.

Nash would be fine, the Heat could use a consistent shooter and his touch from deep won't disappear. Bibby couldn't hit water while on a boat. The only weakness would be his defense, but they can just put Wade on quick guards like Rose, Westbrook etc.

Nash would set up the Big Three and when they draw double-teams, Nash can knock down the shots.

If we're talking about his athleticism, it'd be fair enough to suggest that he's declined a little in the past five years (and he is approaching 40, after all) but it hasn't caused any really noticeable decline his game. His stats are about the same and he's still playing around the same amount of minutes, so his conditioning hasn't changed much.

That's what's amazing. People really can't tell the noticeable decline in his game. But I was referring to some of categories in advanced stats which suggest decline in his efficiency from his prime. For example, he has failed to record win share of 10 games since age of 33, which was quite normal in his prime.

One of the reasons I don't like him being the Suns is from his AST%, 53.1%. The Suns just can't score without him. He needs help like Dwight.

I love that you picked 10 so you could throw out his 9.9 WS 2009-10 season, which is the sixth highest WS season of his career.

You realize that WS is a function of team wins right? Look at how many wins the Suns got in 2009 and 2011 compared to 2010. Now look at Nash's WS.

(Nash's 2009 is suppressed because of Terry Porter's stupid decision to slow things down, his numbers return to normal levels when Gentry takes over and the Suns start running again.)

Well yeah, but I would still say 01-02 to 07-08 seasons to his peak years if I was to choose 7 years span. I was just saying it since there's a notion that he defies the nature of aging.

Jamal Crawford might work for the Heat. He's actually pretty clutch and could make up for LeBron's choke moments. I wouldn't want to see Nash on the Heat because that just wouldn't be fair.

Jamal is a high usage player and a very inconsistent one at that. Most importantly, I have to think he'll ask more than what the Heat could afford. Samuel Dalembert is a priority to fill up the holes in the rotation. And unrealistical but the best solution would be Tyson Chandler. He was what the Mavericks lacked all years long to win the championship and he's also what the Heat lacks the most. In short, most contenders with high usage players could use his service.

Additionally, the Heat do have someone who's likely to step up in the clutch - Dwyane Wade - but the whole situation with three stars, one ball is something the Heat still have to figure out. Admittedly they got it together pretty well last season, a Finals appearance and two wins shy of a championship is nothing to sneeze at. However, so long as LeBron has bouts of passiveness in the fourth quarter like he did during the Finals, there needs to be a solid Plan B and C in place. I'd suggest that would be to make it Wade's team in those situations.
