Andrew wrote:I was a big fan of last week's episode, which I finally got around to watching today while I had lunch. I thought the first half of the ep was a bit ordinary but as soon as it brought in Lemmiwinks, The Frog King, The Sparrow Prince and Catatafish, it picked up for a pretty funny second half. For some reason, I found Kyle's Flat What reaction to Catatafish to be hilarious.

I liked it alright. I may have to watch it again when i'm not sick to see if I think its funnier. I was amused at the lemmiwinks bringback, i remember at some point in the past few years they advertised the return of lemmiwinks for a week then the episode never aired. curious if this is what they had in mind then.

I also thought of Clerks 2 with the bass to mouth reference lol

This episode was absolutely hilarious. May have to re-watch it just for the uncensored version, off the SP website. "Alright...get her [Selena Gomez] the fuck out of here."

The next episode is about Randy, Sharon, and Broadway.

As this ep demonstrated, nothing wrong with a man enjoying musicals. :cheeky:

Agreed, another strong episode. I'm not as familiar with the Occupy Wall Street stuff as those of you in the States probably are but from the gist of it, I enjoyed the references and commentary all the same. The Cartman stuff was great too; at first I thought they were going to do the usual "Cartman scheme" episode (which for me has become their version of The Simpsons doing their "Homer gets a new job" and "Homer and Marge's marriage is in trouble" episodes) but they actually took it in an interesting direction. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a call back to the old "Dude, this is pretty fucked up right here" catchphrase Stan used in some of the earlier seasons, I have to admit I was waiting for it.

Plus, there's a thread about it. Take Lamrock's positions, make them less informed, incoherent, violent and worse, and you have the OWS views.

Pretty clear they're against this tyrannical mob movement and the media masturbation over it. Will have to remember to avoid any South Park threads I see elsewhere until after the next episode, people clamoring for a totalitarian state is just so tiresome you know. (83% part was their extra blatant giveaway. The Tea Party joke proved their cred.)

Cartman plot was great, the rest of them watching the endgame from the balcony was perfect. It was a twist on the Cartman scheme.

My little Eric can be a bit dramatic.

Liked it, wasn't too funny but I enjoyed it. I had to really lulz at the history channel stuff though.

Season finale for the next episode.

Don't really have any complaints about this half season, and it's too difficult to slot them all, they were all great episodes.

i thought thor sucked so i appreciated the parody. But yeah yall said the funniest parts here. Got a few chuckles but not alot more.

Ive been pretty disappointed overall. I dont think its stale, but its starting to be more misses than hits again.

I'm feeling sort of the same way, though perhaps a little more positive. It's starting to show its age a bit and after 200+ episodes and 15 seasons, that's to be expected. The last few seasons have been hit and miss for me but they're probably only slightly past their prime at this point.

Guess a few of us certainly read way too much into "You're Getting Older".

So, fairly good episode to finish on in my opinion; another good, not great one on the whole. The Penn St stuff was a bit hit and miss which I guess was the point, though I did like Cartman laughing at the only really good, unforced one by the social worker and his reaction. Nice to see them keeping the Mysterion story going with Kenny as well. The agnostic jokes were a bit ho-hum (kind of amusing at first, kind of just there the rest of the way) and the White Trash In Trouble stuff was alright. I liked it well enough.

Now that the season is over...favourites?

It would have to be "Broadway Bro Down" for me, with "Bass to Mouth", "You're Getting Old", "Crack Baby Athletic Association" and "T.M.I." rounding out my top five.

A History Channel Thanksgiving, Bass to Mouth, 1%, and The Last of the Meheecans were the 4 best of this half-season. The other 3 weren't as good, but were still pretty decent.

See this is what bugs me. This is the first season of South Park ever where im no long "OMG SO MANY LULZ" Don't get me wrong, its still a great show and i prefer it over the other animated ones...but this season felt off to me. Maybe i need to rewatch it because i felt the same way about season 9 and it was hilarious when i watched it again.
