Recap / Team Stats / Pacers Stats / Magic Stats / Highlights

15th Nov, Indiana.

The Orlando Magic came to Indiana with a record of 0-7 and it was clear why the way they were playing on the outside shooting 3 after 3 and ignoring superstar center Dwight Howard in the post but all this settled down as the Magic took advantage of another poor shooting night for home town Pacers.

Indy shoot just 39% for the game and no one felt this morn than star Danny Granger who shot just 3-20 for the night and 1-6 from downtown as this frustrating season continues, starting point guard Darren Collison is also in a major slump shooting and turnover wise two 8 points 4 assists and 4 turnover were out shadows by the strong play of new comer George Hill who many are now asking why he isnt starting for the Pacers.

Dwight Howard started getting the ball in the post even if his shoot wasnt falling he opened up the floor for Turk and Arenas who knocked the game out of reach in the 4th leaving the Pacers players and fans speechless, Tyler Hansbrough had season highs of 20 points and 15 rebounds showing great signs for the future of his club but many are left scratching there heads at the $55M center Roy Hibbert is asking to resign in Indiana as the front office doesnt want to sign him on potential alone but actual numbers now not later.

Recap / Team Stats / Hawks Boxscore / Pacers Boxscore / Game Highlights

16th Nov, Atlanta.

Indiana's struggles have being well know on offence but tonight they showed just how bad they can giving up 64 1st half points to the Atlanta Hawks at the highlight factory, the Hawks shot 63% first half holding the Pacers to just 39 points on 36% shooting.

Al Horford was named "Player of the Game" for his overall efforts during this game even though he only grabbed half his season average for rebounds at 5 he did however make 5 steals frustrating center Roy Hibbert and forward Tyler Hansbrough, neither could get into there games scoring 8 a piece and only grabbing 12 rebounds combined.

Danny Granger seems to be back to his good shooting hitting 10-22 for the floor on his way to 26 points and with the help of Paul George they lead a 4th quarter comeback outscoring the Hawks 21-12 but the lead was to big to cut away and the Pacers were not getting the calls driving to the basket instead the Hawks Josh Smith was making his print on the game swatting 4 shots into the 4th row.

George Hill was left scoreless just one night after leading the Pacers with 21 points and Dahntay Jones would have to leave the game with a sprained ankle but did return 2nd half and is listed as day to day but is expected to play Friday as the Pacers host the Portland Trail Blazers.

Recap / Team stats / Pacers Boxscore / Blazers Boxscore / Highlights

18th Nov, Indiana.

The first quarter of this game opened up pretty high paced with the Pacers shooting a red hot 66% from the floor and 3-5 from down town which can be credited to the solid play of slumping Darren Collison who hit 2 three pointers and a layup to give himself a running start out the game, he also dished 3 assists to teammates.

Portland shoot wasnt off much in the quarter shooting 44% but they took advantage of the open lanes driving the ball and getting to the line early, Lamarcus Aldridge matched Collison's play with 10 1st quarter points of his own and was glad to see Brandon Roy back healthy who played 35 minutes showing his knees are fine.

The 2nd half belonged to the Indiana Pacers for pretty much the rest of the game but a late push in the 4th from Portland which saw the Pacers lead trimmed from 12 to just 4 with 3 minutes left to play indy managed to hit a few tough shots coming from the bench which Frank Vogel credits new comer Jason Thompson for as he scored 4 4th quarter points and snatched 3 rebounds late that lead to fast break points for Brandon Rush who went on to hit a huge 3 pointer in the last minute.

"Player of the Game"
went to Danny Granger for his huge 4th quarter efforts even though Darren Collison had his best game of the season with 20 points 4 rebounds 8 assists and 1 steal it was Danny that closed out the comeback with a huge dagger 3 followed by 4 clutch free throws to close out the game.

Gerald Wallace really seemed to struggle with the flow of the game shooting just 2-9 for the game he seemed very reluctant to shoot open 3 pointers but his defence was as always top notch playing the passing lanes for 4 steals while Marcus Camby patrolled the paint with 4 blocks.

NBA Ticker

Bobcats 106-100 76ers - C.Maggette 22 points 6 rebounds
Bucks 99-72 Raptors - S.Jackson 23 points 11 assists
Spurs 105-112 Twolves - M.Beasley 24 points 9 rebounds
Nuggets 106-107 Thunder - K.Durant 40 points 9 rebounds
Kings 106-86 Mavs - J.J.Hickson 15 points 12 rebounds
Heat 88-96 Cavs - K.Irving 23 points 4 assists
Bulls 105-94 Suns - D.Rose 31 points 3 assists

Recap / Team stats / Pistons Boxscore / Pacers Boxscore / Highlights

20th Nov 2011, Detroit.

There has always being a rivalry between theses two teams but it has taken a hit the past few years as both teams have had there struggles in the central division and it has looked pretty much the same so far this year too with the Pacers dead last with a record of 3-7 they hoped to steal one here on the road after losing the the season opener on this very court 98-81.

Detroit have a record of 4-4 and even the Cavs have impressed so far (5-4) so with the Pistons and Pacers ready to square off on a home and away back to back fixture indy knew how important theses two game would be.

Straight out the gate the Pacers showed the fire power of there inside scoring with some nice drives from Danny Granger and Paul George alone with center Roy Hibbert who looked for his shot early. The quarter finished up 28-15 in favour of the Pacers.

By half time the Pistons only managed to score 35 points but this kick started a 2nd half comeback by Richard Hamilton and Rodney Stuckey boithg scoring 22 points coming off screens and nailing shots, Stuckey has come alive since the Pistons drafted Brandon Knight holding onto his starting role and uping his game from 15.5ppg to 20ppg and also his assists 5.2apg to 7apg.

Tyler Hansbrough was once again solid leading the 4th quarter charge he shoots a team high 54% from the field with his increased role and minutes he scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds making this his 6th double double of the year.

"Player of the game" efforts go to captain Danny Granger who scored 6 of his game high 23 points in the final 1 minute of play taking it strong down the lane for 2 before nailing a jumper off a play ran for him out of a timeout to put the game out of reach, his numbers were 23/5/3 with a couple of blocks too.

Recap / Team Stats / Pacers Boxscore / Pistons Boxscore / Highlights

22nd Nov, Indiana.

With the 2nd game of a back to back mini series vs the Detroit Pistons here the Pacers took full advantage on the road win they had just played 2 nights earlier against this same team winning 98-92 and Frank Vogel knew that it would be a test on there home court but never the less the home fans would be in there corner as attendance is up nearly 4.000 people over this time last season due to there late playoff run.

Indy were in control through the first half holding Detroit to 40% shooting while hitting 54% themselves including 4 threepointers, Danny Granger was again in top form with 28 points and 8 rebounds but disappeared late in the 4th and to make matters worst starting point guard Darren Collison hit the floor hard after attempting a rebound and would leave the game, doctors say he will miss 1-2 weeks with a lower back strain which means that George Hill will start fri vs Cleveland and 3rd string AJ.Price has being activated.

Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun Prince took full advantage of the Pacers misfortunes and lit the place up down the stretch, Stuckey teasing a tripple double with 28 points 6 rebounds and 8 assists who were playing without Richard Hamliton who was battling a stomach virus.

The Pistons closed the lead down to 2 points after going on 11-4 run with baskets from Villanueva and Jason Maxiell the powerful frontline put Tyler Hansbrough on the bench with 5 fouls so on came the unlikely hero Josh McRoberts who had 1 3 pointer to his name in teh 4 minutes he played early on found himself wide open not once but twice on the 3 point line.. Boom! 9 points in 7 minutes to seal the deal Pacers win 99-89 Danny Granger taking "Player of the Game" honours.

Recap / Team stats / Cavs Boxscore / Pacers Boxscore / Highlights

23rd Nov, Cleveland.

After two great wins against the Pistons the Indiana Pacers were left slow and flat footed against a Cavs team that was missing the top rookie Kyrie Irving and his backup Baron Davis both out with injuries so you would think that they had the win in the bag right? Wrong.

Ramon Sessions made an appearance to the starting lineup somewhere he has spent some time this season in 10 games he has made 7 starts and is averaging a career high 16.3ppg alone with 3.5rpg and 4.8apg, he's on fire to put it mildly and he has this team rolling winning 6 of teh 7 games he has started, this would make it 7.

Sessions got some help from Manny Harris who was also inserted into the lineup but did most of the damage himself with 25 points and 7 rebounds, the whole team were picking up assists as they shared the love to a tune of 17 assists and got to the line to shoot 24 free throws showing just how hard they can be at home.

Tyler Hansbrough lead the Pacers with 24 points but has really shied away from crashing the boards like he did early in the season leaving a hole that neither him or Roy Hibbert can fill leaving the rebound work down to Danny Granger who lead the team with 9 rebounds and also added 18 points.

With Darren Collison sidelined for upto 2 weeks George Hill made his first start for the Pacers playing a solid game with 12 points 5 rebounds and 7 assists while McRoberts made another 2 3 pointers making that 5 straight that he has made in his last 2 games, Manny Harris showed toughness for the Cavs as he scored 8 4th quarter points to round off his 14 point 9 rebound 6 assist night but "player of the game" goes to Ramon Sessions, Cavs win 91-81.

Recap / Team Stats / Pacers Boxscore / Bulls Boxscore / Highlights

28th Nov, Indiana.

It was the 1st rematch for the Pacers against the team that ended there playoff dreams just a few months ago and the Conseco Fieldhouse was electric with a sellout crowd on there feet ready to see how there team would fare against the reining MVP Derrick Rose and his Chicago Bulls team.

The Indiana Pacers were again without there starting point guard Darren Collison, the Bulls also had there fair share of injuries too and the game got off to a fast pace with Danny Granger and Luol Deng matching basket for basket Indy did a great job of keeping Rose out of the lane forcing him to pass the ball which worked pretty well in the 1st half holding the star to just 6 points while Granger was on fire with 20, Deng had 16 for the Bulls.

With George Hill in foul trouble and the Pacers having to turn to there back up AJ Price to play major minutes the Bulls Derrick Rose turned on the boosters and fired the Bulls to a 2nd half onslaught with Rose and Deng playing great D which lead to steals and then to easy baskets, Rose would finish up with 19 points and 5 assists a quite night to be far but he opened up the floor for "Player of the Game" Luol Deng as he scored 8 4th quarter points to put this game out of reach for the Pacer comeback and would make the season series 1-0

As for the Pacers Granger ran out of steam scoring just 7 2nd half points after a blazing 1st half of 20 but center Roy Hibbert did mount a comeback scoring 10 4th quarter points of his own to finish with 18 points and 2 blocks.

News around the nba today was that veteran center Marcus Camby will retire at seasons end.
