[T-Neck] Enhanced Series V4, Sidelines V2 RELEASED

This is my collection of enhancement mods for NBA 2K12. Feel free to include any texture or part of these mods in your projects.

Enhanced Series V4


Enhanced Skin: This aims to improve the detail of the arm and leg textures, especially in comparison to the cyberfaces. To do this, I've adjusted the intensity of the arm/leg normal maps, and added a subtle skin overlay to each of their normal and AO maps. It also breaks up the default sweaty gloss effect on the arms.

Update V4: Added more detail to leg textures; toned down muscle effect on ripped leg texture variants.
Update V3: Improved eye textures to eliminate the dark "zombie" effect. Reduced leg sweat and intensity of leg muscles.
Update V2: Reduced sweat. Added missing leg normal map. Added new eye and tongue textures.
Update V1.1: Fixed an issue with weird dark splotches on the skin - most visible on lighter skin tones.

Enhanced Gear: This mod darkens the gear to better match dark/colored jerseys better (but not too dark to the point where the white textures look gray). It also adds more shading detail to the gear textures.

Update V4: Accessories that were showing up gray when set to white should now be much more white.

Enhanced Suits: This mod simply adds a bit of color variety to the coaches' suits. The pants and buttons on the suit top are now colored differently.

Update V4: Improved suit design, shading and specular textures. Pants now match suit jackets much more closely.

TO INSTALL: Extract this directly to your NBA 2K12 folder, overwriting the old Global file.

TO ADD TO AN EXISTING GLOBAL: Overwrite the old DDS/BMP textures in your Global with these. The filenames match the texture numbers of the global.iff in ModTool that they need to replace.



Enhanced Sidelines V2


This mod aims to improve the texture quality of characters on the sidelines to better match the players on the court.

- Textures from my Enhanced Cheerleaders mod for 2K11 have been ported over to 2K12, with some improvements.
- The gloss on the cameramen has been toned down, and detail has been added to their clothing.
- The ballboy/sweeper's clothing now has more detail. The shirt is less shiny. His arms also have more detail.
- The scorekeepers' shirts and arms were given better shading to match their faces.

Update V2 (Cheerleaders): Updated cheerleader models to wear modern NBA cheerleading uniforms. Default 30 NBA teams have improved outfit textures.
Update V2 (Camera Crew): Adjustments made to cameramen skin tones.
Update V2 (Ballboys): Added better shadowing to textures, and fixed awkward dark wrinkles on pants. Their T-shirts are less shiny, and their windbreaker pants are more shiny.
Update V2 (Scorekeepers): Minor adjustments to face textures. Improved arm shadows.

TO INSTALL: Extract the Sidelines V2 download below directly to your NBA 2K12 folder, overwriting the old files.

NOTE: New team_###.iff files are included with the updated cheerleader/ballboy uniforms. These also include the Enhanced Crowd textures. If you don't want the Enhanced Crowd and only want the new 3D cheerleader models, then just install the gamedataextra.iff file and ignore the team_###.iff files.

Enhanced Generic Cyberfaces (2K12)


This is a port of my Enhanced Generic Cyberfaces V2 mod from NBA 2K11.

It takes the default generic cyberface textures and adds more detail to them, so that they don't look out of place next to the other NBA players' cyberfaces up close.

The only difference this time around is that you no longer need to replace any files in the Global (global.iff). This only overwrites the pcface.iff and pcface.cdf files to make life easier for any Global modders, so make sure you backup those two files.

TO INSTALL: Extract this directly to your NBA 2K12 folder, overwriting the old files.

The enhanced skin needs to be modified. It still looks a bit unnatural like the players have skin disease or something. I can't describe but it's still not perfect. The default looks a bit better in realism atm. The suit looks awesome though.

i agree with you bro... but it's still a nice texture..just need a few tweaks i guess.

-if you can reduce the black spots on the skin it will be perfect.. thanks and looking forward to it if you'll have time to do it :D

edit: can you please teach us at least how to do it .. i mean on what you've done with those dds
