WTF is wrong with my laptop?

I woke up today and my laptop had basically crashed, the desktop was there, but I couldn't click anything. I turned it off, and it switched back on, all normal. Then I watched a video on Youtube and the same thing happened again. Ctrl+Alt+Del didn't do anything, and I couldn't click anything. Turned it off and back on, was greeted by this message :

I switch it back off and I have to wait 5 minutes before I can switch it back on so this message won't come back. Then I had Facebook open and went to the store, came back, and that same message was on.

And now it freezes very often. After about 1-2 minutes while watching something on Youtube, also when watching avi files with any player, it freezes like that. And now, I have to wait even more to not see that black screen.

I didn't install anything new. I ran CCleaner and defragged, then ran some auslogics boostspeed, which removed over 1000+ files that were 'infected', but nothing.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Your operating system got fucked up. Probably some virus.

How old is your computer?

Best case scenario is an OS error, worst case scenario is a hard drive fault. Make sure you've got everything you need backed up and reinstall Windows. If you're still experiencing crashes like that with a clean installation or the installation itself continues to fail, you're looking at a hard drive that's on the way out.

It's less then a year old. I had a similar stuff a couple of months ago, don't remember how I got rid of it.

Anyway, I'll just re-install Windows. I'm taking it to the repairs all together, my vent is working, sort of, but it still gets freaking hot when I play 2K, it melted a little bit of my desk cover. If I keep this up, it'll probably burn itself. Then I can play 2K12 with no worries.

That actually happened a couple of months ago, hasn't affected performance. Anyway, re-installed Windows, still has the same start-up crap.

Yes, prolonged exposure to that kind of melting heat is always good for home electronics.

Your hard drive is dying buy a new hard drive and it'll solve your problem

It's not normal and far less mileage than you'd like to get out of a hard drive, but hardly unprecedented. If there's an overheating issue, that wouldn't help matters.
