EA offers full refunds for PC version of Tiger Woods 12
Graphics are subpar. The features are lacking. And fans, who have been waiting for a new PC version of the game since 2008, are livid. Now it appears that publisher Electronic Arts is trying to sooth the angry masses.

Eurogamer reports the company has offered refunds to select customers who felt misled by the game.

Isn't the PC version of Tiger Woods very different to the consoles? Perhaps there wouldn't be quite so many complaints if the game were ported from the console version, which I guess is being better received.

No, this is even worse than that. See what EA released as the PC version was a DOWNGRADED VERSION OF THE FREE ONLINE GAME.

Yes, it had worse graphics and fewer features than a FREE TO PLAY GAME. Things listed on the BACK OF THE BOX were not even in the game.

This is Tiger Woods 06:

And this was EA's initial response:
EA described Tiger Woods 12 on PC as "a unique experience"; one that "combines some of the best single-player game modes of the console version with the accessibility and multiplayer offerings of Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online."

I guess EA was just following in Tiger Wood's cheating ways. :rimshot:

Well, different dev team. ;)

If we get a PC version and if it's ported from the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version and if that game is a good offering to begin with (equaling or surpassing NBA 2K is, I would say, not feasible within one iteration, but it should at least be solid in its own right)...then we shouldn't have to worry about a situation like the one with Tiger Woods.

It isn't in our future. It's in our present.

I bought Tiger Woods PGA tour 12 for PC a month ago online, and it is the worst PC golf game EA sports has ever made. 1, no ways to improve golfers except purchasing via credit card upgraded clubs, balls etc, and after 3 months you can only use 7 courses not the full 16 that were said to be on the game. If you want extra time, you have to pay for it... Fuck off EA, if you don't deliver with Battlefield 3, then I don't think I will buy another game from your company. And I used to be such a big EA fan, and they just fuck us over with every release they bring out.

This better not be the future of online games...
