Escape from Denver

As I already posted here Nuggets keep up loosing players to China.
Found that article which sums it up pretty well.
Not unlikely they will go down from being a contender in 2009/10 right to the bottom of the conference...

Denver will really miss that wing depth in all 0 games they play this season.

 I hope the entire team goes to play overseas. Then they'll get an awesome draft pick in 2012.

Well, if they lose Nene, I think they'd be in a pretty good spot to completely rebuild their team around Ty Lawson. Rotation wise, the Nuggets have lost a fair bit to China, but I still think they could have a decent team. K-Mart has been awfully injury prone, so his court time has never been a certainty. As much as I love J.R. Smith and think that on his day, he's one of the most explosive scorers in the league, he's also had his fair share of dramas with the organisation. As for Chandler, I was initially excited about him coming to Denver, but his performances (particularly in the playoffs) were pretty lackluster.

I don't know what's the big fuss about this to even merit its own thread. Those Nuggets players that signed to play overseas are unrestrictred FA's anyway. There's no guarantee that they would have signed with Denver even if there is a NBA season.

It matches at minimum the "Kobe got Dirk's fadaway level up thread". ;)
As long as there are no transactions or games to "analyse", this seems to be at least worth to be mentioned.

I like to think the people in this forum are better than those journalists at ESPN. :shake:

I think Gallo would have an out clause.

Yes, his contract has an opt out clause.
