Not really impressed with the demo (quality), but I am impressed with how 2k changed up the crowds. They are into it when there's a big play, I'm editing some videos right now, and the crowd to me, will make the game a lot more fun because it's like a rewarding you with your big plays.

I had an instance where Caron Butler went over the scorers table, then had to walk around, I stole the ball, and passed it to him wide open in the corner for a 3, the crowd went ballistic LOL. Miami Heat really play like the Miami Heat, only 3 players touch the ball LOL. I haven't used the post system yet, I'll wait till I can use Roy Hibbert. A lot of better animation, especially for collisions, and pump fake and 1's. Lay ups look a whole lot better, blocks look a whole lot better, jumpshooting, a whole lot better. I can't say enough about the crowd, it will be a reason to buy this game over last years for sure!! They fixed the fastbreak points, I run a lot with my squads so, I like to see those numbers up, because I only used to get 2 FB points a game last year, which was BS, I had 10 in 5 minutes play, so you can tell they fixed that!

The problem is, the passing lanes get picked off way too much, like usual with 2k and their sliders, so that would have to be turned down, and you can't run plays or substitute, atleast put some plays in the Demo.

As most of you know I love gameplay over everything, and this game is really worth the money for the upgrade. The intros are just crazy, and I'm glad they revamped it.

Videos to come!!

They got rid of signature gathers, instead those gathers happen automatically when you arent moving, hold LT, and then move the RS in a direction. If you let go of RS before the gather is over with you dont shoot. Simple little thing that just fell through the cracks for me.

It's a HUGE upgrade from last year, when it comes to detail LOL, this game is goingto be better than last years I can tell. I hope My Player mode is off the chain LOL

The scoring, as seen in a lot of the videos, is a mile a minute. 15 points in a 4 minute quarter is 170 in a 12 minute quarter game.

it's been noted by Ronnie that the demo is default difficulty with casual sliders, so that might have something to do with it....I dont know why they insist on locking out that option for us....

YouTube is screwing up for me, is that in one of your videos?

Also, I updated my impressions after my second round of playing. If you read it before, take a look again and check the italic parts.

I read on OS that the PS3 demo is out now. Won't bother to download it now though, I'm pretty tired.

Here's a quick translation of Jao's impressions update. RTFM. In this case it's RTFI - read the f... insight. Jao's insight is a good tip to read the controls insight, get familiar with the controls, and only then form an opinion of the game play.

Okay, gave it a couple plays. I love the presentation and the graphics. Game is a little high scoring and I'll need to get used to the new icons but I approve.

No I recorded 4 games, and the 5th one it happened!!! But in one of my videos, when you Speed with the ball, it can bounce off of another player's foot and roll out of bounds!!!

A game I played like an hour ago, D-Wade was in the post, try to turn I knocked the ball off him and it went out of bounds, Mavs ball lol!!!

** I'll read the update

Is it me, or are the controls really heavy? Anything I do on defense is overdone, and I always have to compensate, and usually over compensate. Judging by the freethrow shot release, it's not a lag issue. Are the defensive hops gone? It could be just the team and their players.

Contest animations take way too long to start, and are too slow and last too long.

I'm loving the post game and I have just been fiddling around. Try posting up from full court and shooting a turn around fade away. I hit my first one at the buzzer, but unfortunately I wasn't capturing it. Haven't hit one since, hehe. I thought i2 was supposed to be more responsive this year, though. Better than the last couple years, but I was expecting more.

Directional passing is still bad. Right stick passing is the worst, and it has resulted in many turnovers.

The cpu ai looks amazing. Seeing them pump fake the crap out of me in multiple ways is awesome.

I havent had a problem with interceptions when making smart passes. It looks like the cpu may be able to telegraph some of them this year.

The intro doesn't look that dynamic to me. Just a few different scenes and angles, but maybe that is just a demo limitation.

I think it's demo limitation on the intro, cause I've seen a few different "themed" intros in the preview builds.

With the passing I've come to the conclusion it's my AI teammates rather than the defensive AI. I got some footage and I think I have been kicking passes out to players who should be open that arent. I think the 2k11 help defense collapsed on me more than the 2k12 D which stuck to their man more.

I havent gotten used to the Defense either. LT+RT is the defensive hop thing now I think, I gotta check that insight again.

As you guys saw with my initial impressions, I was perplexed, and I have only god knows amount of hours in 2k11 nvm the 2k games before it. If someone so familiar with the game had major issues with 2k12's demo because they didn't read the controls insight, yet the demo is geared for casual players (as stated by ronnie), wth were they thinking? Add a controls menu or something. I can't be the only one who didn't understand the LT+RS mechanics, can I?
Opinions are my own.

Okay, so honestly my opinion, regardless of all the amazing new features and news we've heard. I still see it as more of an "NBA 2K11 - 2" rather than NBA 2K12, a whole NEW game. I'm just not... i guess excited, as i should be for a new 2K.

One thing I noticed is that they don't have the new generic shoes in the demo, like in that one screenshot of Roy Hibbert and Noah.

 Wow does that Momentous trailer look HOT. I appreciate that he showcased lots of new moves, he obviously played many of those 1st quarters before making the video to take time to learn them. Also, the fakes and the pro-hop to jumpers all look really smooth and in rhythm, too. (Y) (Y) (Y)
