As much hatred I have toward that team I gotta admit they are looking pretty good. :) They made some nice offseason moves too.

Still, Rodgers is having a great game, and the Cobb kick return was awesome too.

Yeah Cobb's "barrel roll" was insane. Defied all physics

Shitty PI call on the last play of the game but I'm disappointed that Sean Payton called a wussy up the middle run with ingram. At least TRY to trick em

I gotta support my team and watch the Eagles play the Rams.

The weakness of the NFC South and the Chiefs/Steelers are big.

Also the Bills/Texans: huge surprises. I mean i know the colts didnt have peyton but he doesnt play defense...that was just a beating.

Good game for the Bears, lets hope they continue the trend against the Saints.

So the Panthers lost. And im not sure if we're legit or if Arizona's that bad.

I'd like to see our running game get going more and we have to have less penalties.

But holy shit Cam-418 yards...highest ever in a debut game by a rookie.

Amazing what happens when your WR likes your QB instead of wanting to break his nose.

If the panthers beat the packers, ill flip my shit. Dont think itll happen but hey

Interested to see what NE does today over the Chargers (are they the most overhyped team in the league? every year their in SB convos and then barely make playoffs if at all),

Chi-NO could be fun too.

missed the 1pm games but caught the lions/kc and packers/panthers and i gotta say the panthers played well in the 1st half. but newton just made bad decisions down the stretch. and they need to run the ball more instead of wasting the talents of deangelo & stewart

Couldn't believe how Vick and the Eagles were literally knocked off by the Falcons in the 4th...

Oh, the joys of seeing your team up ten with a few minutes to go on the score alert whilst watching a different game, only for the game you're watching to end. Then getting to halftime of the Sunday night game and finding out they lost. After going down by a field goal or less each of the past two weeks.

And even after all that, let's just rub it in further in that the officials seemingly have no idea what a fumble is. Way to completely ruin my day.

Theories of Al Davis actually being a corpse are now true.

I only saw him in his senile years but apparently he was huge for the game. RIP

Seems like the Madden curse has affected current cover player Peyton Hillis but instead of an injury it's more like idiocy.

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.s ... hil_6.html
Peyton Hillis admitted Monday that he probably would've tried to play against the Dolphins on Oct. 2 if his agent hadn't advised against it.

"He was just looking out for me," said Hillis of agent Kennard McGuire. "That's what he's there for, so I have to give him thanks, too. Because I'm stubborn and hardheaded and I like to go out there and play even though I was probably not up for it."

Conversely, Hillis said if McGuire had endorsed playing with the strep throat and flu-like symptoms, he would've heeded that advice.
"By the way I was feeling, I just needed somebody else's opinion," said Hillis. "If he'd have said, 'Peyton, you probably can do your thing,' I'd have listened to that. But he is my agent and he does help me out and I think we made the right choice, because I was definitely not healthy enough to play."

Hillis stressed that "it was ultimately my choice in the end. We both knew how sick I was and how bad it could be for the team and for myself if I had tried to play so it wasn't just my agent's decision. It was mine also."

You ask a doctor for a second opinion, not an agent. Unless the agent also happens to be a doctor, then....

He's a doctor of journalism man. Very wise [/endfearandloathingreference]

Ok i know brees threw a bunch of INTs, but any player that makes the playoffs i wouldnt say was cursed. Madden Curse is a myth. Law of regression probably isnt however. You have standout years that warrant getting the player a madden cover. There's almost no way to keep up that caliber of success every single year.

Edit: yes i know this was a month after the initial post

In other NFL news: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? This year is insane. No team looks dominant. In either conference. Every time I think a team has it figured out they pull a saints and lose to the rams or something like that.

Did i mention I love it? If this is what results from a lockout im kinda ok with it

Or it can show how important good coaching is, even in the pros. It probably helps Gore has been healthy and their defense has been stellar
