Already gave you my word of congrats on the other thread, but one more time won't hurt. Congrats, Andrew! Can't say I haven't enjoyed myself in this forum being a part of it almost two years now. Visiting this forum is a part of my daily routine; it's rare for me to go missing for three to four days in a row and if I'm not up to date on what's going on here I feel empty before going to sleep. Really nice write-up though, I think trolls, idiots, etc. should definitely read it to get an idea of how you feel when they do their thing. Of course, there being people who just don't read as you mentioned, not everyone will do so.

Somehow missed this post before, thanks Axel.! We can certainly hope but when it comes down to it, people like that get too much joy out of trying to cause misery, annoyance and frustration for other people, so they're not interested in those sentiments. Other people are just always going to be difficult; some are probably like that in real life, just enhanced by the GIFT.

I missed this initial post as well so I guess I should thank you for all the wonderful work you've done over the years.

I've never been to big or too into the patching side of things on this site but in terms of how the community is run I think Andrew is the perfect level-headed guy for the job. Too often I've seen a community with great potential ruined by either an apathetic admin or one that is too controlling; I think Andrew has done a fairly good job in balancing the two and doing it so consistently throughout those ten years.

I guess that's enough e-peen stroking for nao. But seriously, Andrew's as cool as a cucumber in my books.

Thanks, really appreciate the kind words. I've made my share of mistakes but I like to think that I've learned from them and continued to improve in my role as the years have gone by. I've also been fortunate to have help and support from some great folks in the community, the success and good times we've enjoyed in this community are far from being a one man show.
