The 1989 PBA season was the 15th season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)



The year 1989 was the third time a team won the Grand Slam, with the San Miguel Beermen winning all three conferences. It was also the season where Benjie Paras won the most valuable player and the rookie of the year awards in one season, the only occurrence in the league.

I'm calling all the Filipino Patcher's out there to help Bearako of PBA 2K series to bring out the classic basketball, & be proud of our own professional league.

Let's make this happen!!! Atin ito!!

I'm trying to contact PBA 2K admin for assistance, it seems they're not interested on a PBA retro MOD . it's only six teams to construct with one court stadium(1989 ULtra) yet it's sad that no one from our Kabayan patcher's are interested for help. I'm not lossing hope for this, give me sometime and I'll try study how to patch and seek help from other foreign patchers.

bro, even if they like to help with your suggestion it's really hard for them to make their cyberfaces because we can't find a high quality pics for those legends; the jersey would be fine and the court but the cf is realy impossible...

yes, and i highly doubt that PBA has an exceptional archive of that season

Why not make a PBA around the 1990's ... the Abbarientos, Patrimonio era... if im not mistaken that's around 96... i can help with the CF (but not the head shape)... i made this before in NBA live 06, and i still have the CFs for that... just let me know what u think.

SHOOT!!! i guest it's a great idea, coz i'm really a hving problems searching for faces of some old time players such as cuenco, fabiosa etc. nonetheless, 96 era is also a spectacular season for PBA, menesses, duremdes, twin towers of aquino and feihl is there. why not? let's do this, the buttom line really is to create a retro MOD that will be added to recent 1.3 PBA 2k version of bearako. sir Pinoy has the jersey already of Ginebra & Alaska, eight teams to go, with Cuneta Astrodome court
