Best Graphics Card?

Postby Bnicolas13 on Mon Aug 08, 2011 3:12 pm

Sorry if this is the wrong spot, not really quite sure where this would fit in.

Anyhow, does anyone know what the best/strongest graphics card is out there for running games? I tried googling it but I couldn't really find what I was looking for. Any midlevel graphics cards can run 2k11 just fine, but I'm looking for something that'll also run battlefield 3 at max settings.

Lets say under $1000, whats the best one out there? Thanks.

Probably something like a pair of 580s in SLI.

I don't think You really need to spend $1000 on graphics card to run BF3 on max settings. Plus You need very good CPU or You won't get maximum out of your graphics cards. And good and powerful PSU too.

Thank you, I'll look into that one.

I know that its not necessary but I'd still like to get one of the strongest ones out there so it isn't completely obsolete in a matter of few months. Computers are just improving incredibly quickly. I already have a really strong processor, quad core at 3.5 and everything else is above average.

There's no flattery involved, it simply doesn't fit. I hope it doesn't hurt too much putting it here. :P

What about this one?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130655

I've been researching it and it looks like its pretty strong and isn't too expensive. I literally have no idea what makes a graphics card good so I'm just searching through reviews.

I just wonder how it compares to the two SLIs as it is significantly cheaper. If its much better I'd be willing to pay the price.

Alienware is overrated.

You can get pretty powerful machines from other companies besides alienware

That website seems to get some pretty knowledgeable and up to date electronic guide contributions.
