Zappos and Eastbay stock a lot of bigger sizes, 14 isn't really that hard to find most shoe companies will go upto 14 (or 13 at the lowest). I'm a 17 and I barely ever find a shoe that I want that I can't get in that size. If there is a specific shoe you want and you can't find it anywhere I'd email the manufacturer and ask if they do make them that size, you might find they just flat out don't go past like a size 12 or whatever. If that's the case there's really nothing you can do aside from buy the biggest pair they have and just wear them until they're at a point where it's not uncomfortable. I did that with a size 15 pair of shoes once, I don't wear them if I know I'm gonna be walking a lot but if i'm just going to a bar or something where I'll be sitting most of the time they're fine. I pretty much put them on and left them on whenever I was at home, it was pretty uncomfortable to start but after a while they stretched out enough to be bearable.
