Riley : LeBron disobeyed team rules



Pat Riley held a press conference, where he said in a statement, that LeBron James, the 2011 Finals MVP, had broken several team rules by missing the first 2 days of training camp.

"LeBron was absent for the first two days of training camp, without having a convincing reason. All players are treated equal in the Miami Heat organization, no-one is granted special exceptions.

The training camp is the most important part of our preparation for the season, we have new players, rookies coming in. We need to be a unit from day one. It so appears, that LeBron doesn't understand the values needed to be a part of this organization.

We are grateful for what he did, helping to bring this franchise its second title, but we still have a long journey. The summer of 2010 was the foundation for a long project which we hoped would result in several championships, as said by Mr. James himself.

Right now it appears, that LeBron doesn't honor his claims and this team enough to stay here."

Sources say LeBron showed for the third day of training camp, but was not allowed to take part in the drills with his teammates. LeBron turned around and left the Air Force base facility.

Sources : Heat working on LeBron trade



The Heat are reportedly working on a multi-player deal to deal LeBron James, who recently was absent from team practice and hasn't been in contact with the team ever since.

Sources say 28 teams have called the Heat with a potential deal (All excluding the Cavaliers), the Heat remain careful and patient with their decision.

The Warriors, Grizzlies and Knicks remain as the front-runners to land the 3-time MVP.

True, it's only my nickname for him. My gf at time (now wife) was going on about the strange names some NBA players had & she mentioned Lebron. I thought I'd have a bit of fun & had her believe that Lebron wasn't his real name, it was actually Lebanon, & he just went by that. She bought my story.

So from now on, to me he is Lebanon James

The Miami Heat won the 2011 NBA title, beating the Lakers in 5 games and LeBron James was named Finals MVP after averaging over 30 ppg in the Finals. But it all went downhill from there.

LeBron was seen partying in many cities during the summer, including London and Madrid. Once the training camp opened, King James was no-where to be seen. And when he did finally turn up, he was denied access to practice with his teammates, old and new.

Pat Riley publicly said, that LeBron's behavior was unacceptable and that he doesn't want players on his team, who don't know what it takes to be a Miami Heat player.

And as of 5.06 PM, he isn't.

The Miami Heat reached an agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies to send LeBron James, alongside Joel Brzybilla and Flip Murray to Tennessee in exchange for Rudy Gay, the 2nd pick of the 2011 draft Kyrie Irving from Duke and Marc Gasol.

The HEAT will also receive two 2013 1st round picks and a 2013 2nd round pick while the Grizzlies will get two 2013 2nd round picks.

LeBron was not yet available for comment. The 3-time reigning MVP will wear #6 in Memphis while Gay will wear #9, Irving #5 and Gasol #31 in Miami.
