yeah no point in making rock/cena a title match since the rock will be enough for people to buy. i think it'll be ADR/Punk in the mix for the title.

watched smackdown and i gotta say the divas match & the bryan/kidd match were very well done. and the main event tag match was pretty good too.
AJ has a shitty entrance song but it doesnt matter she is hot as fuck. natalya turned heel and even booker got excited about her turning heel.

I just watched Raw and loading Smackdown right now. What the hell is that with this past Raw's ending?

Making Cena/Rock a title match just proves that the title is just a merchandise now.

I agree that their match doesn't need the title, but when Cena lost it he made a big deal about not having it for The Rock and had to get it back, and its dirt sheet stuff as well.
Opinions are my own.

Fair enough. I don't think it devalues the title at all, certainly no more so than short reigns and the same couple of guys trading it back and forth. You can always bill it as The Rock coming back for a shot at the title he held seven times, the guy was/is a star in the business and legit main eventer so it's hardly like WCW putting David Arquette in a title match (and having him win it). It is kind of wasteful because it can be used better elsewhere when Rock/Cena already has a good enough gimmick of Rock returning and Generation vs Generation so I think they should probably avoid having Cena hold any title at Wrestlemania, but it'd still work for me.

Could be, but then everything should be taken with a grain of salt. Like I said I think it can still work with the title and not devalue the belt anymore than bad booking that doesn't involve a temporary return from a big name, but they don't need it to sell the match.

What's the bet HHH goes over on Sunday?

Michael Cole was decent, though. He played his heel schtick, but did it by putting Miz over. That's how it needs to be done. Really does make me think the SmackDown commentary is Booker's fault.

I'm not sure that he'll screw Punk over for the title (just yet, anyway) but with the altercation at the SDCC I expect they're setting up some kind of feud between the two that'll lead to HHH getting in the ring with him at some point.

well, it might be a failed attempt at a screw job like how vince tried to "montreal screw job" him at MITB

Perhaps. At this point I think there's a very good chance Punk will walk out of SummerSlam the champion.

I am hoping. Though I can't remember when was the last time Cena got beat in two straight PPVs. Also, the "undisputed" champ needs an "undisputed" belt.

And, Rey's rematch clause for the title faded in storyline.

Reading the recap, it sounds like a really overbooked finish to the main event. Orton gets another reign, too. Maybe they can go somewhere good with it all but I'm not too enthusiastic about the results on the whole.

Kevin Nash and Triple H on one show, Sting and Ric Flair on the other.

Is it 1996?

Haven't seen it yet but was eager to read the recap, I'll still watch it though.

I think this will branch into multiple storylines. Cena can now diss the Rock, Del Rio will begin a new feud with Mysterio, and Punk will still be going against "the system" with HHH on its helm. Diesel may be HHH's "accomplice" in Punk's eventual decimation because of what Punk is throwing into Trips and Steph -- plus they may bring up the Kliq allegiance between Triple H and Diesel.

I guess this makes Raw watchable again. Over at Smackdown I hate that this feud with Orton and Christian will still continue because of Randy regaining the title (which is all the more disappointing to me, they should have at least let Christian lost cleanly at MITB and have Christian win this one because this is more of his type of match than Orton's. But :(

Huh? I feel the exact opposite. Not quite that extreme, perhaps, but I'll certainly be checking spoilers before watching this week, which I've been avoiding doing.

I can see where you're coming from Lean and maybe the angles will branch effectively that way, but it still feels like they killed/swerved a really hot angle prematurely.
