http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6575570One of the consequences of a lost NFL season will be an increase in crime, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis said in a wide-raging one-on-one interview with ESPN.
"Do this research if we don't have a season -- watch how much evil, which we call crime, watch how much crime picks up, if you take away our game," Lewis told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.
That's because, Lewis said, the NFL lockout affects "way more than us" -- the owners and the players.
"There's too many people that live through us, people live through us," he said. "Yeah, walk in the streets, the way I walk the streets, and I'm not talking about the people you see all the time."
When asked why he thought crime would increase if the NFL doesn't play games this year, Lewis said: "There's nothing else to do Sal."

I read that the other day. Fucking hysterical. And insane. Really starting to like the Ravens halfway from Ray's senility.

i have no idea. before the titans, i remembered him as the guy in Oakland that would have super glue on his hands and get sacked constantly.

I remember him on the Panthers and Giants as the greatest passer you've ever seen until a game that actually mattered.

I hope the same goes for the NBA soon enough.

Completely different scenarios. NFL lockout was never going to cause any regular season games to be lost. Sadly the same can't be said for the NBA.

Not having guaranteed contracts causes a players union to cave a lot faster.

Jerry Richardson is spending out the ass. 141 million for Deangelo, Charles Johnson, and James Anderson...

i'm glad deangelo stayed, but disappointed that they probably won't win many games. i was hoping for him to have individual success this year. i think they shouldve gave clausen another shot instead of getting newton

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet

Im far from sold on Newton but Clausens a terrible leader. None of the team respects him. Honestly, we should trade him while people still see potential there.
Haynesworth and Ochcocinco both on the Pats?

I'm sorta glad the 'Boys didn't get him. He's great and all, but I'd much rather fill our needs

You cowboys fans/press make me laugh. You miss the biggest FA: who signed for cheap (bout 8 million per year less than projected, assuming for a chance to win), in your division. that is NEVER a good thing. Yall had the space to get him and fill needs. Newman and Jenkins have your trust now? last year all i heard was how much yall needed to replace them.

I wasn't complaining, I was fine with em. And 90% of the problem was Wade, he just stunk.
I just hate how he went to the Eagles, who are freaking stacked at CB.

Any Dirty Bird fans in here? Looking forward to another great year. Hopefully Matt Ryan will take us all the way this season. Looks like it won't be easy though. Tampa Bay is looking like a possible threat. Josh Freeman could be a problem.
