We've finally got a real winger in the squad now. :bowdown2:

When the new owners took over they said they had a three year plan for winning the league. This is just the first year and nobody expects to win it yet.

We don't expect to win it, but of course the fans think we can. I wouldn't bother watching them if I didn't think we could win anything.

Alright, the chance of winning it with three years is pretty possible. Downing is a good signing. Still, with the form of Chelsea and Manu(Tottenham too maby), it aint easy.

Real Madrid made it look too easy. they won 4-1. Galaxy's only goal was in the 2nd half when they took out Casillas and it was off a rebound. and Ronaldo's goal

it was awesome every time someone walked by wearing a Barca jersey, they would immediately get heckled by all the Real fans.

I heard Coentrao played well. Were all the star players involved for Madrid?
-----

Liverpool beat a Malaysian XI 6-3 last night. 87,000 people in the stadium, apareantly 30,000 more than Arsenal got last week when they played there. (Y)
Aquilani was brilliant. I think he was involved in about 4 goals. Hopefully enough to show the owners that he has a future at the club.

There was about 40,000 just at training the other day. Some guy turned up in a Man Utd jersey and got owned.

Coentrao was average. I think Marcelo played a bit better than him. they sat Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil, & Xabi Alonso in the 1st half and they damn near subbed out all 11 guys at halftime. Casillas, Kaka, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Cavalho, Coentrao, Marcelo, etc all sat in the 2nd half. Galaxy pulled Donovan at halftime since they were already down 2-0 and Beckham got pulled around the 63rd

what a choke job by the US. everybody is claiming #13 alex morgan for themselves, but i got a 3 way with her and hope solo.

and another note from last night. i like Real's new jerseys. gold numbers, gold stripes on the shoulders, a collar, and no name on the back.

So the favourites lost in each of the quarter finals at the Copa America. Looking good for Suarez to win it with Uruguay. :)

Peru v Uruguay
Paraguay v Venezuela

Such a failure for our national team. Messi can't do it all, he's no miracle worker...

At least Gervinho's signing is now 100% official.

I never thought there'd be a time when both Peru and Venezuela would be in the semi-finals of the Copa America. Either way, I'm glad Mexico came in and stunk it up more than Costa Rica, Mexicans over here overrate their team way too much. Ultimately, I think Uruguay will win it all.

Well, both Costa Rica and Mexico played here with the U-22 squads! They had their senior squads in the Gold Cup... they wouldn't make a big noise. Venezuela -- nice cinderella story, hopefully they win it all, they are undefeated so far.

Tevez looks likely to be heading back to Corinthians. Probably means Aguero is headed to Man City to replace him. :(
