two versions of NBA live 2004 at the same time?

Is it possible to have installed 2 versions of NBA live 2004 at the same time? I am tempted to install the slamdunk patch and any other crazy patches made for the matter,

but I would like to be able still to play other ppl online with different patches, teams and skins..

possible?
ideal would be I have to icons on my desktop, one to my nba live unpatched.. the other to the patched one..

in 2003 it was possible so I don't see why it isn't in 2004.

There should be a list of overwritten files. You should back them up and restore them, should be a problem.

If you are unsure, just back up the entire render and renfe folders.

Copy your nba live folder and rename the copy Slam Dunk Live 2004 or something like that, install the patch to there. Then go into the slam dunk folder and make a shortcut of the nba2004.exe and name the short cut Slam Dunk Live, just cut and paste it to your desktop.
