Team Owner, Larvae McKenzie Makes Significant Changes
• Posted: August 18, 2011 12:45 NN EDT

MINNESOTA -- As the new Timberwolves Majority Owner Larvae McKenzie promised, he would make big changes in this organization. Well i think he didn't disappointed the Timberwolves fans. Larvae McKenzie fired former Head Coach Kurt Rambis who hasn't stayed in Minnesota for that long as Head Coach and as McKenzie fired Rambis, McKenzie contacted former Nuggets Head Coach, George Karl who's contract with the Nuggets has just expired. The Denver Nuggets extended their offers to George Karl who has been with the Nuggets as Head Coach from 1998-2011. But as the Timberwolves offered George Karl, the former Nuggets Head Coach said, "I didn't think twice on signing with the Timberwolves. You see, this team is young and full of talents only their hasn't been much for them to do since their losing even with their player's stats were pretty impressive." Kevin Love said that "I think Coach Karl would be a great fit for us, he's a great coach! I'm really looking forward to play this season" Karl also coached the "Reignman" Shawn Kemp and "The Glove" Gary Payton during his tenure with the Sonics back in 1992 up until 1998. "Probably i would remake this teams offense into a much faster pace, and with the Point Guard they have in Rubio i think the system would be a great fit for the team. Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio could be a perfect complement." The Timberwolves signed Karl to a $3.15M for 5 Years. "I think 5 years would be enough for me."

Not only did McKenzie Fire and Hired a new Head Coach, McKenzie hired a new Scout in the name of Douglas Stribling. Stribling is a Master at it. Although he left his old team, the Philadelphia 76ers back in 2005, he said that he is ready for another stint here in the NBA.

Timberwolves - Suns Notebook
Posted: November 2, 2011 9:44 PM EDT

THE FACTS: The Suns signed Shannon Brown in the off-season and they are paying Brown just right, Brown posted a career high of 32 Points and got along with 3 rebounds. While Steve Nash had 25 Points and 15 Assists and the most very important game winner he had. The Timberwolves got their share of their own, Enes Kanter and Ricky Rubio made the best of their once in a lifetime NBA Debut. Ricky Rubio had 18 Points and a superb 17 Assists while the #5 Overall Pick of the 2011 Draft Enes Kanter was the Timberwolves best player on the court, Kanter had 25 Points, 7 Blocks and 4 Rebounds.

THE STAT: The Rookies got it done but don't forget Kevin Love and Michael Beasley who lead the team in rebounds.

HOT: Kevin Love led the 3rd Quarter run for the Timberwolves as he scored half of the team's score of the 3rd Quarter. While Shannon Brown went on to put on a one man show, but the Suns didn't allow a one man show to happened, no. 22 pick Donatos Motiejunas out of Lithuania supported the Suns core and scored 10 Points in the Quarter.

NOT: Despite having a superb debut to his NBA Career, Ricky Rubio had 7 bad turnovers that one of the reasons why the Timberwolves gave up a solid 1st Half Run. Also Wesley Johnson didn't show up in tonight's game.

QUOTABLE: "We've lost one, but we still have 57 more games to prove ourselves even more." - Wolves' Coach, George Karl

QUOTABLE II: "I can't believe Steve is already 37 years old. I thought he was like at his early 30's" - Suns' Coach, Alvin Gentry

Thunder - Timberwolves Notebook
• Posted: November 4, 2011 10:00 PM EDT

THE FACTS: The Timberwolves entered the game with momentum. Well because they are the home crowd. But a solid 2nd Half Run by the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant who scored half of the team's points in the 3rd Quarter shut down the Timberwolves game. Since then the Thunder and Durant abused the Timberwolves defense and ran away with the W. Kevin Durant had 32 Points and 6 Steals, Russel Westbrook also came to play as he posted impressive numbers in the stat sheet, 20 Points 5 Rebounds and 11 Assists.

For the Minnesota Timberwolves, not the same story. Ricky Rubio who came fresh with a impressive debut didn't show up as he was in foul trouble and he couldn't make any shots to fall. Rubio went 0/8 until the end of the Third Quarter. The only solid performers from the Timberwolves roster were Kevin Love, Wesley Johnson and Rookie Enes Kanter.

THE STAT: On the defensive side of the Oklahoma City Thunder, none of this could have been possible without Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka's superb lock down D.

HOT: Kevin Durant went hot for the rest of the game, Durant posted 15 Points by halftime and added another 15 in the Third Quarter alone.

NOT: Well, after a not so impressive opening night for Minnesota's Guard Wesley Johnson, Johnson went on to score the Timberwolves' first 6 Points straight, and he did that consecutive times. Although in the 2nd Quarter, Johnson lost his grip on the ball and caused alot of turnovers which turned out to be Kevin Durant finishing the job. Also after an impressive start to his NBA Career, Rubio came in disastrously. Rubio couldn't make anything in the game except making assists, in terms of other categories Rubio didn't do much. But Rubio would make a run in the 4th Quarter scoring 14 Points for the team including a back to back pull up three pointers and coast to coast moves although it was too late for the Wolves to make another run.

QUOTABLE: "No wonder Durant remains at the top of the list in terms of Points Per Game" - Wolves Guard, Ricky Rubio

Grant Hill To Retire By The End of The Season

Grant Hill, ready for Retirement
Posted: November 5, 2011 11:22 AM EDT

SAN ANTONIO -- Former Suns, Magic, Pistons and currently a Spurs forward Grant Hill who is a 39 Year Old said on his Twitter account that this would be his last season with the NBA. "It's been one hell of a ride, lots of ups and down along the way but overall i am really enjoying my life with the NBA. I don't know how my life would be without the NBA, maybe i can do a little coaching but it really depends. But hey, my journey ain't over yet. Their still one more season for me to grab that ring that fits just for me, and that season is now."

Grant Hill was born in Dallas, Texas. His father, Calvin Hill, graduated from Yale University with a degree in history, later attended Southern Methodist University and was a three-time All-Pro running back for the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys, winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 1969. His mother, Janet, is a Wellesley College graduate. After his father's NFL career ended, the family settled in Reston, Virginia, where Grant became a high-school superstar at South Lakes High School and he was selected for the 1990 McDonald's All-American Team.

As a collegian with Duke University and early in his professional career with the Detroit Pistons, Hill was widely considered to be one of the best all-around players in the game, often leading his team in points, rebounds and assists. His time in the league has been hampered by career-threatening injuries, notably during the prime of his career.

Jazz - Timberwolves Notebook
• Posted: November 6, 2011 4:32 PM EDT

THE FACTS: The Timberwolves just won their First game of the season after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns in their past games. Beautiful ball rotation by the Timberwolves made scoring opportunities for Wesley Johnson of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Johnson had 22 Points and even had an amazing 3 Rejections along with him.

After a solid start from the Utah Jazz, the Jazz fell down late in the 1st Quarter and lost their momentum that quick and wasn't able to recover their momentum. Al Jefferson led the Utah Jazz with 22 Points and 7 Rebounds in the losing effort.

THE STAT: Ricky Rubio once again dished out 17 Assists during their game against the Jazz. Rubio ties his career high in Assist during this game.

HOT: After struggling to find consistency in his game, Wesley Johnson finally got his groove back and led the Timberwolves dump the Utah Jazz to earn their first win of the season. Johnson said "With the Point Guard we have and our ball rotation, is was very easy getting the pass while cutting and i felt really comfortable catching the ball in transition."

NOT: As the Utah Jazz were in danger against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Devin Harris was struggling and couldn't make any shots to fall down for him. "The defense was all over me, I really credit the Timberwolves for that." When the Jazz needed Harris in the game, Harris didn't show up.

QUOTABLE: “We could have won that, it was our game. But I guess I let my team down when they needed me the most.” – Jazz Guard, Devin Harris

Martell Webster To Miss 1-2 Weeks
• Posted: November 6, 2011 5:50 PM EDT

MINNESOTA -- During the Second Quarter of the Timberwolves game against the Utah Jazz, Timberwolves Forward Martell Webster attempted a three pointer and got it to go as his first and only basket but accidentally, Jazz Forward Andrei Kirilenko bumped Webster in mid air and after the bump by Kirilenko, Webster landed flat on his back and after he drained the three pointer, Webster started screaming in pain as the Referee noticed that Webster was in pain, the Timberwolves quickly called the medical staffs to handle Webster.

Mid-way through the third quarter, 2K Sports sideline reporter Doris Burke announced that Timberwolves Forward Martell Webster has strained his back after the collision with Andrei Kirilenko. Timberwolves' medical staff said that Martell would be out from the Timberwolves lineup for atleast 1-2 Weeks. But still in that 1-2 weeks, the staffs are unsure if he can be 100%.

Wolves Hand Bulls First Loss Behind Beasley's 35

Bulls - Timberwolves Notebook
• Posted: November 11, 2011 6:34 PM EDT

THE FACTS: Michael Beasley had the time of his career a while back as he posted 35 Points and 6 Rebounds in a win over the Chicago Bulls. But Beasley couldn't do it on his own, Timberwolves' Rookie Center Enes Kanter had a career high of 8 Blocks along with 13 Points and 8 Rebounds. Although the Timberwolves let their lead slip away their 14 point lead early in the First Quarter due to 7 Turnovers by Ricky Rubio, the Timberwolves still was able to manage their composure as a team and individual.

On the other hand, the Chicago Bulls entered the Target Center being undefeated, the Bulls unfortunately left the Target Center with already one loss. Another loss that the Chicago Bulls lost was their franchise player and last season's Most Valuable Player, Derrick Rose. As Rose was about to takeoff for a layup or slam dunk, Luke Ridnour intentionally fouled Rose in mid air and grabbed Rose, as a result Derrick Rose landed hard and was reported that Rose is out and still not sure when to return due to a separated shoulder injury. But despite that, Luol Deng rallied his way and carried the Bulls but Deng didn't have much help and as a result, the Wolves blow out the Bulls.

THE STAT: Michael Beasley was just 3 Points away from tying his career high in points with 38. Beasley instead had 35 Points in the win.

HOT: Look above, then suddenly you would look down. The Timberwolves were a high flying action team against the Bulls a while back, Slam Dunk here and Slam Dunk there, the whole Target Center was jumping up and down due to their excitement and Wesley Johnson had 3 Posters (If the Camera Man caught it) including a dunk over three Chicago Bull players also he dunked on CJ Watson and Taj Gibson. Again, Michael Beasley even on the last minute of the game, Beasley would still continue to score, fans said that Beasley may have been patting his stats but Beasley replied that he wasn't patting them, he as just taking advantage of the defense.

NOT: Well, Luol Deng wasn't cold during the game, but the rest of the team was ice cold, the Bulls lost their rebounding big man in Joakim Noah (Although he played limited minutes) due to his slight foot injury and Carlos Boozer wasn't effective when the game was close Boozer only came alive when the game was already out of reach.

QUOTABLE: "Losing Derrick to injury is a huge loss for us. So obviously, the other guys would have to step up for Derrick because it would be disappointing for me and Derrick to see the team lose just because he's not playing on the court." - Bulls Head Coach, Tom Thibodeau

QUOTABLE II: "This is once again another step forward for our team. Also i'm really happy with my performance and my teammate's performance tonight and i felt that i didn't let my team down and so did my teammates, they were terrific!" - Timberwolves Forward, Michael Beasley
